About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #429 - Blessings

Well the nearest I have got to crafting this past week is opening the pack of diecuts my friend gave me.

She is loving her "new" Cuttlebug which she acquired secondhand after chatting in a craft shop queue.

I had a great week last week with blessings falling from heaven left right and centre.

1) My son got A*AA for his A-levels and secured his place in Southampton University - NEXT MONTH! -

Oh dear empty nester syndrome approaching fast...........

2) In Geocahing got a First To Find (FTF) with my son - treasuring these last days with him at home.

3) Took my son driving on the Motorway for the first time.

4) Impromptu meeting-up with 2 old school friends last Saturday not seen them for 14yrs/40yrs!

5) Played 2 good evenings of Badminton, loads of exercise.

6) Volunteered at a Tea Dance, found a new dance school and went to a social last Friday and it was brill, so even more exercise.

7) Actually seem to be losing a bit of weight and have been sleeping marginally better too.

Not doing so well this week, in fact I think this week has been cancelled! It'll pass and if I feel any better I can of course do some crafting.

Did get this lovely SWAP card on our theme of Gingham though, that will help me smile this week.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Morning BJ. MY word - blessings indeed! Many congratulations to your son Well done him. Driving on the motorway for the first time, too! Now THAT is scary stuff!!! Good to meet up with friends. I met all my college friends a couple of months ago - and it was just like we had never been apart. Dim panicio - as they say locally - you'll soon be crafting again.
Take care. God bless.

Happy WOYWW. Congrats to your son - and also to you for taking him on the motorway for the first time. I had some motorway lessons with my driving instructor after passing my test - one of the best things I ever did, as I have had to drive on motorways a lot in my lifetime so far and it doesn't worry me at all. Gingham is a good theme. Will have to suggest it in our ATC swap group. Ali x #25

Hi BJ. Well done to your son on his fantastic results. You have had a busy and blessed week. I like the idea of motorway driving being allowed as part of learning to drive next year so I won't have to do it with mine. You must have nerves of steel (even post test). Happy WOYWW. Sarah #18

Hi BJ, You sure have been busy. I have to pace myself, otherwise I crash and burn.

It will be good when learners can go on the motorway with an instructor.

Happy WOWYY

well I saw a lot of what happened last week on FB and no wonder this week is quieter, even if not for the right reasons! At least Southampton isn't so far away - he'll be back with his washing regularly!! Helen #4

Congratulations to your son - excellent results! It will be weird not having him around - hey, maybe you can convert his room into (another) craft room! Just kidding LOL. This is what I'm threatening my son with! Motorway driving freaks me out, but I may have to do it too when we move. Aaaaaahhhh! Sounds like you've been very active! It does make you feel better, doesn't it? Enjoy your week! zsuzsa #23

Go on enjoying the dancing and all the exercise you can - it works wonders for sleeping, or so I am told.
