About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #613 - Photos

Well I actually got to the mammoth sorting of my photos on Monday. To save any confusion, the 347 photos I had printed by Photobox were just the ones I have specifically chosen for scrapbooking or putting in frames, for the whole of 2020.

Thought I'd start with the yearly update of the "Family" album for 2020. I get duplicates of any photos of all 3 of us for this 8"x8" Album, the green one on my desk. It has 35 pages in it so will accommodate 70 LOs - 39 LOs done so far.

Then there's week 3 of my little Lent Journal. Monday's thought was entitled, "Created to Create" which I thought most appropriate. I'd left a bigger space as it was St David's Day too so I crafted some daffodils from a floral die which just about did the trick.

Been busy in the garden this week too, redid my baskets and boxes and attacked the overgrown borders. Think it is getting colder again so back to more scrapping....

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

What a lovely chunky album your 8x8 Family one is! The weather has been lovely for getting out in the garden hasn't it, although I think it might be a false spring and we may have got over-excited with our seeds! Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #7

Good morning
I think that’s such a lovely thing to do. I certainly enjoy looking back through my albums. Far more satisfying than scrolling through pics on my phone.
Have a lovely week. Enjoy your garden if you get out there.

It is colder again BJ..I’ll take it because I like the dry, but boy, I froze yesterday because I was fooled by the sun and went for a walk without a coat. Ended up being a short walk! That stack of photos is enough to induce a swoon! I do admire your disciplined approach to making the albums. They are very obvious and credible daffodils for the page, great job. Your lent journal will be very interesting to look back on. Do you do one every year?

Morning BJ. Goodness - you are going to be busy! How can you have already managed 39 pages? Since those photos arrived? Or had you already done some of them?
Enjoy working on all the pages as the memories come flooding back.
Take care. God bless.

That is a very big stack of photos! Will keep you occupied for the rest of the year - and then you can move onto 2021 LOL - perhaps that's the idea? I still haven't finished my first scrapbook album that I started back in 2005 with my son's baby photos! Happy scrapping! xx zsuzsa #22

It's going to be an amazing album to flick back on with all those chosen photo's and yes photo album really do need to make a come back, I can not do with flicking through my phone at all. There's something very emotive about holding a photo with family faces on it. Beautiful memories.
Well done for getting in the garden and making use of the dry/warm weather, my baskets are still flowering from late summer/Winter, hoping they will last till those frosts have gone.
Happy WoywW Tracey #14 xx Take care

Definitely a lot of photos to sort through BJ. Love that spread with the three of you. The Deflecto drawers are from Hochanda but you have to catch the shows as they tend to sell out quickly and disappear from the web site. I did get one set from Craft Stash but I believe they are currently out of stock. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

Hi again BJ. Thanks for visiting - the Aaronic Blessing. It's Numbers 6 24-26, if I remember rightly - "The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up the light of His countenance upon you and give you peace." Try youtube "the blessing" - a song which has come out during this pandemic, speaking blessing over each one of us. Lots of versions - but I reckon the Makaton Blessing is the best - lots of folk signing the words.

I love the 8x8 family album. How special to have one just of photos of the three of you to see how things change over time. Sorry I'm missing in action again this week - we have building work at ours and every evening I am having to move things round the house to make way for the next thing! I hope to be back next week. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. Caro xx

BJ, bravo to you for tackling those photos and then to boot to have separate albums! What a great idea!! I miss having a garden, so super jealous of you being able to get out and putter around even if it is to tackle the overgrowns!!! I won't mess with the pots that I have on my porch until the on again, off again cold decides to leave!! I'm not ready for summer yet, but the topsy turvey gets old with clothing choices!! LOL Stay safe and healthy! Felicia #26

That is quite a collection of photographs and well done for getting them sorted. We've been in the garden too this week but it seems to have gone cold again today. Have a very creative week and a happy woyww, Angela x19x

That level of photo organisation is quite awe inspiring!! Love that you kept to your scrapping mission so well. We got a lot done in the garden as well, but fairweather gardener that I am these days (I used to be a jobbing gardener so I am no stranger to working in the cold and rain - I just choose not to do it any more!) - I have retreated back to the craft room as well. Have a good week, stay safe, stay well, love n hugs Cindy xx#18

That does look like a task and a half - but so much nicer to browse photos in an album than on a phone. Love the little daffodils, such a sweet die.
Sorry I'm late getting round, considering I'm not going out I don't know where the days go!
Hope you have a good week, stay safe and well,

Wow, that's a LOT of photos! I think I would have quit, just looking at that stack, good for you for moving along! These days I get photo books printed up. We have a few now, I gave one to my hubby from FaceBook, the last 10 years. I don't post as much on FB anymore, so the next one will have to be from my own photos. But he looks at that book all the time!
Thanks for your visit, have a great week, Lindart #29
