WOYWW #363 - Not Another Magazine Freebie!

Here's my desk in all its glory this week for WOYWW. I didn't move a thing, just held my breath and took the photo!
So yes another magazine, I think I go by the mantra, "If it's got a freebie die I'm a gonna!"

I had a bit of trouble with the first cut of this intricate die. Don't think it liked the pink pearl textured card as I had to dig it out in bits! Tried again with some plain white thick card and managed that OK, although I did douse the die in talc beforehand!

Also on my desk is my next scrappage pending. Some various photos of me and my harp, some flowers for Valentines and my first pot of daffs of the Spring.

I did do my Christmas scrappage during the week too and a SWAP card for the Paris in Springtime theme.

Oh and the sunflower has grown so much I had to repot it,  plus I planted a few more seeds as only one of the seedlings from the last CD case planting survived. Grass head is going manic and there'll be cress for sandwiches soon.

Happy WOYWW everyone.

My goodness, BJ - that sunflower is going mad! Soon won't get it all in the one photo!!! What a lovely reminder of your family Christmas celebrations - well done. Great card, too. Sounds like you have been really busy. Good to see you with your harp - how is that going? Still doing your practice?
Thanks for the visit already - hmm, may need Mr D back again....
Take care. God bless.

Hi BJ love the cress heads - always such fun. :-) Great layouts - Christmas photos were lovely . Those intricate dies can be a pain. I use the Big Shot and precision plate now for those, There is also a pad pad and die brush that you use afterwards that make it much easier. If you Google it I'm sure you will find what I'm on about :-) Anne #24

sometimes I use bakingpaper in between the die and the paper, makes it easier to split them, especially with intricate designs. thx for the visit, Vicky #6

Wow, BJ, I will be looking for that magazine when we go shopping next. What an awesome die. I've found either wax paper, or tumble drier sheets run through a couple of times on a new die make a big difference in getting bits out. I read to use used drier sheets, but I've used new ones which work just as well. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #2 xxx

Hello BJ. Your desk looks so great and I love that magazine but having trouble finding it again in northern Canada as I always to love a good freebie. I have seen a few video where people put wax paper down and then the paper before cutting out to make it easy to remove from die. I have never tried it yet mostly cause I forget and forget cause I don't have any in the house for sometime now. Also your plants are looking great. Thanks for visiting me earlier and have a great week Hugs~Anne L#47

That's an exceptionally lovely die for a freebie - it looks like it ought to be a rather expensive one! I love the grass head - he's looking rather wild - I have hair days like that!
Happy WOYWW,

That sunflower is really growing! I got a rose plant for my birthday and I'm hoping that I don't kill it!

That die looks very nice for a freebie. Was it a recent one? Sometimes I find those intricate dies a pita until I get the hang of them or find the right paper. A good die pick is a must.

Wow!, that sunflower has grown! (reminds me of Jack and the Beanstalk).
And the cress is growing too. He will need a haircut soon.
I love that die. That is pretty good for a freebie.
Do you play harp? How beautiful!
Have a good week and thank you for visiting,

I don't often look at magazines (apart from Craft Stamper which I get on sub) that die is gorgeous though, well done for persevering. Great projects. Helen #1

Hi BJ,
It is nice to be visiting WOYWW desks again. I enjoy it so much and am going to make an effort to join in on a regular basis. I'm sorry that I'm missing the ATC swap.

I'm a sucker for all kinds of magazines, freebies or not. The die looks very intricate. I subscribe to one of the Somerset Studio magazines and it's bi-monthly, or maybe even only four issues a year.

Thanks for visiting me already,

So much going on. Your Christmas layout and card are adorbs. It's a beautiful die and you get a magazine. I don't think you can go wrong. I see you're using little hair clips to keep one of your plants upright. So clever. Thanks for visiting my desk and sorry it took so long to get back (crazy week). LisaDV.

Hope it is a case of 'better late than never' - sorry I am so late but with being away ...
Great to see someone else is a suckrr for buying a magazine with a freebie. I am trying to curtail my spending but not that successfully.
