As I might need to be a SWAP fairy again I bought this magazine as it has a freebie fairy die by Joanna Sheen, well that is my excuse anyway! Seem to have got a piece of mirricard with it too.
As for crafting, all I have managed this week is to mend the Christmas decoration my son did in school some 14 years ago. It had become very brittle and bits were missing so I hot glued and silicon glued it to a piece of scalloped acetate. I broke off some bits to even it out and stuck other bits back too. Popped a gem in the centre as well - aw.
Did take my tree down last Friday on Candlemas, it's on my previous post, the first non-WOYWW post since last October! Golly Gosh.
About Me
- BJ
- Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

I love how you have repaired that decoration BJ; it must take pride of place on the tree each year! Hope you manage a bit more crafting next week. Sarah #23
That's a good bit of mending - pleasing when that happens! I don't buy mags anymore, not even with tempting things on the front, I have a Readly subscription instead.

That's quite some work on such a small ornament, good for you to still repair it! Happy woyww, warm hug from Holland. Marit #26
We have to hang on to our children's little crafts. So, good job.
Awwwww BJ, I love that ornament! I love my kids ornaments from school! I have kept them all and still put them on my tree! Its soooo pretty as well! :) I also love fairies and that is a cute, cute die! Can't wait to see some projects out of that! :) Blessings, Felicia #32
I still have a decoration my daughter made at preschool (she's now 35!). It goes up every year without fail, very precious plastic cup and foil haha! I was poised to hop on the WOYWW desk this week at 6am but my phone wouldnt refresh to here I am gone 3pm as I'm at work finally managing to do it. Karen #34
Hi BJ, great job on the repair- lovely to have such memories every year! Magazine looks fab, I only pick them up when they have a really cool freebie! Have a lovely week, hugs, Shaz #11 XxX
Hello bj,your Christmas decorations make place for valentines, perfect timing 😉I am so ashamed for messing up so badky with linking 😶
I don’t buy magazines much anymore, since there is so much online, but they are fun to look at. I see your glasses on your craft area. Since I had my cataract surgeries, that is where mine are most of the time since I only need them once in awhile for close up detail, Happy WOYWW! #37.
Nice die.
Not a clue how you chat on someone's timeline - nor how I got there first - I just went on because I had not been sleeping - slept from 8.30 am though - until 5.30 pm. Still full of a cold though.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx
I've seen that die but couldn't decide. Would love to see how you use it.Have a great woyww, Angela x17x
Hi BJ, that's lovely that you were able to repair the decoration your son made. I can't recall that my daughters ever made Christmas decorations at school, or at home come to that! I've missed out! Hope you have a lovely week, Heather #31
You have done a wonderful job repairing the xmas decoration. I think we all treasure the little trinkets made by our children. Have a lovely week.

Hi, Bj, you're not the only one who succumbed this week though not a fairy for me but a stamp set that came with Crafts Beautiful. What are we like! You've made a wonderful job of fixing the tree ornament - your son will be pleased. Sorry to see you have a bad back - hope you make a speedy recovery. Hugs, Elizabeth x #30
Lovely snowflake!
And such a great freebie! :o
We don´t get such things here in Sweden
when we buy a magazine. Looking forward to see
what you will create with it. :)
Happy WOYWW,
Sussie nr 38.
