About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #408 - Not just Embroidery

Desk is adorned with new kitchen roll, well you always need one of those for crafting!

Also a leaflet about badminton sessions called "No Strings" which are pay and play sessions with no club ties.

I have been volunteering for a local mental health charity with badminton sessions in conjunction with Badminton England.

Embroidery has been developing slowly this week.

I make sure I manage at least one length of thread a day at least.

I managed a scrapbook layout as well.

AND I also did the garden! Here's what I put in it. It looks and smells like Cadbury Mini Eggs now.

My medication seems to be working so far, I am so much happier and able to do stuff without being knocked back by Aunty Flow, 40 days and counting since the last onslaught.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Lovely layout, I'm loving the Spring colours - yellow is such an uplifting colour, and the embroidery is looking beautiful. The garden is looking beautiful, and I'm so pleased for you that your medication is doing the job, long may that last!
Have a great week,

Stunning embroidery! Well done.
Love the flowers, I bought some home and then decided that they looked so cheerful in posts on the table .... they stayed there and make me smile every time I open the door.
Take care and have a good week.

Gosh, really glad to hear that the medication is efficacious - hey, might you have a glimmer of light? Brilliant. The primroses look lovely, almost a match for the embroidery colours! A LO made at home is a rare thing for me, I hope you find time and mojo to do many more!

Hi BJ. You have been such a busy lady this week - so glad the medication is doing good! Beautiful needlework, and a great fun layout - geocashing is certainly popular isn't it? Well done on the badminton front - enjoy.
Take care. God bless.

Hi BJ, the badminton at the charity sounds like not just a healthy idea but fun too. Your layout is great - I like the flower images you've used for embellishments. We've been in the garden too, planting up pansies in flower boxes and generally cutting back and tidying up, ready for summer. Hope your medication keeps working so well. Have a great week. I've just been browsing on your past posts to have a catch up on your beautiful embroidery, BJ. I love how it's growing. The colours are gorgeous, as is your garden, what a breath of spring. The lighter nights and sunshine are what we all need I think.
Thanks for popping by earlier.
