About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #387 - Tidy

After last week's upheaval with the ceiling work, that side of my room got a jolly good clean and tidy. I did hurt my back/shoulder in the process so ended up having to rest quite a bit of last weekend and I also had an IBS episode but that calmed down after 24hours of being uncomfortable!

I tossed out most of my old craft mags and rearranged my stuff on my bookshelves.

I came across the kit for the little owl I made up a while back which has been on my desk since and laid out the pieces to make up its sibling but that was as far as it went. As it is black, white and grey I was pondering adding an accent colour like we did for our SWAP on UKPC last month. Lime Green is my colour of choice at the moment.

OK so not much going on here.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Finally for the Geocachers out there, my latest travel bug, the dolphin TB5H393 has actually moved!

I did ask on a FB page and one lad said he'd go and get it but the very same day someone else got it and moved it on - yippee.

I have also registered one for myself today, the second Celtic Heart, TB68AYA to log where I go as it is the replacement for the first one which got lost a few years ago. Didn't realise you could do that until I joined the Geocaching UK Facebook Group. Learning so much more now.

I've never heard of Geocoaching, sounds intriguing! Kind of like what the kids are doing with Pokemon, but more complicated?? Glad you are feeling better, sometimes our body just tells us when we need downtime. Thanks for sharing, Lindart #41

Glad your feeling a bit better. Sorry about the ceiling mishap. I like the idea of lime green accent on the owl. Can't wait to see it. We have yet to do the geocache thing. Although it is on our to do list. Maybe we can make it before the snow sets in. Have a Wonderful Wednesday and terrific week. LisaDV #37

So the damn ceiling incident had a silver lining, a clear up and out of sorts, great stuff! Glad that you're feeling a bit better too, that sort of dis, comfort and feeling unwell is such a waste of time isn't it. OOh I love a zing of some bright citrusy colour when you're working with black and greys, I think the little owl will be a winner!

Hi BJ, you have been through the wars but I'm glad to hear you are feeling a bit better now. I love the owls you have hanging around your desk - cute! And your shelves are looking great. My husband brought me a new set of shelves to fit in and unused corner of the craft space so I'm in the middle of reorganising, again. I think I live to organise and reorganise my stuff :) Wishing you a very good week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #35

Interesting info about the geocaching - we used to do it years ago as a motivator to get our lads out for a walk! I like the look of your newly tidied shelves. I do like a well sorted stash (shame mine isn't at the moment!)
