About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #362 - Birthday Wheels

Determined NOT to set foot on the WOYWW page until I STUCK my Wheels scrapbook page, which has been pending on my desk for a number of weeks, I have at last finished it - Horrah!

Also on my desk today are a couple of preschool items.

First the dressing up dress I have mended ( I replaced the tangled, tatty pink fur trim for the pastel daisy chain)

Second, the story of Simon Shape.

Also the latest on my kitchen window sill garden.

The first sunflower has grown loads in the week despite a visit to preschool for their Open Day last Saturday.

At the Open Day I did cress heads with the children and this is my new addition.

My grass head has finally go going and might need a trim soon.

Also, there are two more sunflowers emerging in the CD case which need planting on.

Happy WOYWW everyone.

PS I did a rainbow ice block for preschool last week too. It went down well so I am in the process of creating another one.

Morning BJ. What a fun looking Mr Grass head! That sunflower is going mad - must be the fact that we have had this year's summer in the past few days...
Take care. God bless.

I am in love with the grass-heads! I remember planting garden cress as 'hair'... now that my son moved out, I don't do things like that anymore... I should! I might! Thanks for the inspiration and for your visit earlier today. Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #25

HI BJ, I love all the things you have going on! The cruise was nice enough, but as I said, not really our thing. There are days at sea when there is little to do other than eat and drink! Unless you like bingo and so on, which is not really our thing at all. Because the weather was overcast the first few days, and indeed both of our full days at sea, most of that was spent indoors, in one of the bar areas, reading. When we go on holiday, we like to be able to go and see the history and archaeology of a place,as well as get a taste of the traditions etc. There is only a few hours in each port stop, so you haven't the time to do that, and everyone else on the ship is English, so you have no meeting of cultures.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #11 xx

Well done you for finishing your page. It's a great double page too. I like the tyre track and the colour scheme.
Your windowsill plants look wonderful. I didn't know what the rainbow ice block was and went to a previous blogpost to read about that. What a good idea. And so much fun for the children on a warm day. You have had some good weather in the UK I have been told.
Thanks for visiting,
Happy WOYWW,

I remember doing the cress things at school. Not much changes does it? Wonderful page! Glad you got it finished. Sometimes it's good the way WOYWW pushes us to finish/keep going on projects so we can share.

Just love everything you have going on there ... aren't sunflowers just the most amazing plants? Guaranteed to make you smile ... as did Mr Cress-head! I can imagine the children just loved making those and watching them sprout all that hair! Am fascinated by your rainbow ice block ... would love to hear more about it? Thanks for popping by my blog yesterday ... was just determined this year that my crafting during the jolly festive period would not result in a near nervous breakdown as I battle the clock having taken on way too much! Come Christmas Eve I just might still have my sanity this year. Love to you, Debbie xXx

do you transplant your sunflowers outside later? ( we tend to just grow those in the yard but, we are not hauling them anywhere either) so, it was just curiosity thing. I was thinking the one looks so big it may not want to be transplanted later. Thanks for the earlier visit, ~Stacy #50

Your post made me smile, BJ. I've been late getting my seeds going so we shall see what happens. I planted 3 kinds of sunflowers. Love grass heads. Did those with my daycare years ago. Always fun to see little one's expressions when they see the hair growing. Creative Blessings on your week! Kelly #42
