About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (currently a year behind!), plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #835 - Encounters in Colour

Back to Back freebie retreats for me, oh my word.

Loving the new extra desk in my craftcorner, although I have popped the sewing machine back in the wardrobe whilst I do the art journaling this week.

So much more room to put stuff without taking over my bed. I have put most of my extra craft supplies in the drawer too.

Currently doing Encounters in Colour 2025 this week. Much more contemplative as only one session a day for the 7 days, all available free from their published day until 15th June.... And breathe....

Desk has Tuesday's page...daily writing journal, medical journal and craft notes book

Anyway back to last week's Making Zen, here are the majority of my makes. Had a thoroughly wonderful time stitching save for my carpal tunnel screaming!

And there are 3 more in the Jonah series, I have done 2 so far.

So to the Encounters............

Day 1 - Lead me Home with Casey Turner

Day 2 - Stacking Stones with Emily Henderson

Oh my so much stuff again, I'm shattered but that is more due to not sleeping well and my hand in dreadful pain during the night. Not to worry.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Nothing worse than not sleeping because of pain in the night. So sorry to hear this.
Love the journal pages "Lead me Home" especially although the stones one is lovely too and shows clever thinking,
How good to get another desk in but I bet you fill it quickly.
Happy June to you.
Hugs, Neet 8 xx

Another super busy week for you! Nice to have a new area too, bet it’s filled up already. Your crafting this week has been fab but I’m sorry it’s been hurting your hand, perhaps a week off might help a bit?
Hugs LLJ 4 xx

Oh my that stones page is lovely. And the desk shot with all your variety of makes laid out is inspiring. You do so much, I can't imagine if you were sleeping and pain free! You'd be unstoppable. Be well soon. And I am jealous of the extra desk. See mine this week...with Poppy taking up a good portion of it! Typical.
On time? YES. Happy WOYWW!

LOVE those stacking stones, they speak to me for sure! You're doing a lot every day, how disciplined you are! So sorry about your carpal tunnel...is there a plan to get it fixed? I know you've been through it once but it sounds worth the repeat journey to me. I was offered a cancellation less than six months after I'd had my first wrist done....leapt at it, but took a while to recover second time, so I suspect that you're a bit wary. The second desk looks as if it's always been there already, love the ATCs on the fireplace tile.
