About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (currently a year behind!), plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #834 - Making ZEN

I'm knee deep in the freebie version of Making Zen again this week. It's mainly fabric/sewing based so playing havoc with the Carpal Tunnel but I'm persevering through the pain and numbness and trying not to prick or cut myself.

As you might notice I have had a rethink of my surface availability in the craftcorner. Wanting somewhere to have my sewing machine out this week I tried the little table I usually have next to my desk but it was a tad low and rather wobbly.

I now have a loft reclaimed pre-marriage table which fits around the fireplace a treat (legwise). I've had to swap out my chair for a smaller one but my room looks bigger for it. Anyway going to give the new set up a go over the week of Zen but will probably relish the ongoing extra surface area.

Here are my Zen projects so far. Monday I did 5 out of the 7 sessions available.

The Jonah project came to a halt at day 6 so despite starting later than others I have now caught up with that. Here are my last 4 entries.

Awaiting the next stage of the series....

And my scripture writing and daily ponderings continue. Here's last week's finished and this current week as it started out. I used my new Indigo Blu stuff this week plus the other new stencils.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Oh I love to see a bit of fabric work on WOYWW - such lovely little collages. If, like me, you enjoy playing with fabric it can be so mindful and relaxing. x x Jo 🌈

Fabulous work on your post. I have downloaded the worksheets for the Zen projects, but I have no fabric with me. I might get some felt if I see any and do the spirit owl. I haven’t watched it yet so I am not sure what the spirit bit refers to. Happy WOYWW. Angela #9

The carpal tunnel is a pain in both respects, I still have the problem occasionally but usually my own fault trying to do the wrong thing. Love the Zen projects though. Wishing you a very happy woyww. Hugs Angela x8x

I saw the weaving Zen thing on FB I think and loved it. All the projects are pretty cool - Looks like a fun class. I always feel inspired to create once my space is clean and calm - although I am able to work in chaos if I have to LOL!
The week got away from me but Happy (so late) WOYWW!
