About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #793 - Full Steam Ahead...

Here's my desk with the next 4 journal days prep.

My little steampunk art journal is coming along nicely although a tad "off-piste" in places.

I am including images I love so I guess it is more of an "image" month, truth be told.

I've discovered adding a light layer of my current craft glue on top of the images enhances them so I have revisited all previous pages doing so. It seems to be more matt than gloss which is good too.

Also on my desk is my new scrapbook having added 20 pages to the 10 included to make the 30 I usually have in my 12"x12" albums. It is Album #20 of my day to day albums.

Here is the last page of #19, got round to it at last, Yippee.

I did my Bible watercolour in my original bigger Bible this week as it was OT.

It is all about Othniel who was the first major judge for the Israelites and there was peace for 40yrs.

So to the journal pages.

Day 7) is my entry to the current (August) Steampunk Challenge over on the Gecko Galz Blog.

Day 8) Images from the Nahum 1:7 kit from Bible Journaling Ministries

Days 9 & 10 are on the tag in the pocket of page 8.

Day 9) At last a tag to do the Gecko Galz tag Challenge. The clock stamp was already there so I worked around it. I guess she's not entirely steampunk!

Day 10) Ah Fussy Cuts Freebies posted a set of steampunk images for me and this is the first I've used. Did print them a tad too big but going with it...

So to days 11 & 12 which are quite "off-piste" to say the least.

Day 11) this for week 2 of  SeekGatherCreate over on Instagram. Fortunately Casey is keeping me up to date as I find Instagram quite confusing.

Day 12) is using an image from a previous Gecko Galz challenge month on their blog. I am getting the feel that images are available for a month to down load then replaced. However on their challenge FB group there is a "Bejewelled" section so I entered this one there.

I wasn't planning on all these challenges but is makes life interesting.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Well, for a start, I love the Steampunk pages. You have some gorgeous images and the lady on the first page is beautiful. I think you have most pages Steampunky and if you wanted to make the peacock page more in line with the others you could simply add a cog or two. I like tapping the cap off a pill bottle on my ink pad and stamping with it, gives some great circles that are broken or whatever.
Great LO with the family featured and another successful piece of Bible watercolouring.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

How much fun are those images? I love them. I actually used a GG image, but in my head I was at first sure it was Art House Whimsy! Doh! I get in a groove and it's hard to shift out of it sometimes. Love your steampunk pages. So so rich and colourful. I know about Gecko Galz cause of you and Angela :)
Getting as many in as I can before knitting…
Happy WOYWW!

What gorgeous pages! And great use of the Gecko Galz images. I save all their freebies at the beginning of each month as they do disappear!

My post was done on my phone and so ended up with several errors - notably a missing link. It is there now!
Happy WOYWW! Susan #3

Great pages. I would love a laser colour printer so I could use print outs in my art. The glue layer is a clever idea, but it doesn’t work with inkjet prints. I have tried! Have a great week. Angela #14
