Yes, it happened this week. I needed to make some cards for my on-line craft groups SWAP for Christmas. The theme being Animals/Birds @ Christmas. So I did....
I used my Tim Holtz Reindeer Flight Die, some torn hand made papers and some old music score.
I inked lots of the edges and got very inky fingers in the process - yay!
I topped with copper stickles.
That's my desk in the week with all the bits ready to go.
And here are the 9 cards I made.
I used the miscut dies and bits and pieces left over to make the journal page as a reminder.
I also made a second penguin card.
So 11 cards made this year!
You might have noticed the card blanks on my desk. I got out any spare envelopes and made up card blanks to fit and these will be for my church friends.
As for the rest of the Christmas cards, I bought those back in January this year and have even written the ones which needed posting and posted them this week too, Go me!

- Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, DĂ©copatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Yay BJ, well done on sorting all the Christmas cards. I batch made 8 earlier in the week but kept it very simple. I'm going to have to get my finger out next year though because the cupboard is bare of special family Christmas cards now; only just enough to go round this year. Love those reindeer cards; inky heaven. Happy WOYWW Saarh #12

Glad you've been having fun with making the cards, they're very pretty! The leaping reindeer are particularly lovely.

Lovely cards and a great idea to make a journal version as well. The stickles made them look magical! Best wishes, zsuzsa #16
Yaay you are nearly sorted by the look of things. Love the reindeer and the journal pages you made from them.

Hi BJ, Your photo of the Reindeer cards does not do them justice. I love mine.
What a great idea to match up cards and envelopes. I have a box of cards that someone gave me, but they don't have envelopes. I reallymust try and find envelopes for them.
Happy WOYWW

Your reindeer cards are lovely! And your journal entry to remember them is inspired. The penguin cards, also cute! I have yet to succumb to buying Christmas cards, but it just may happen before Sunday, when we have our first Christmas Party at work. None of them know I stamp! Have a wonderful week, Lindart #27
Lovely collection of cards and you have inspired me to set aside some time tomorrow to make a few!! Better late then never. Have a lovely week.
