About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (currently a year behind!), plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #839 - Scrapping/Photos

Here's my desk, I'm back to the scrapping and have ordered another 160+ prints with some extras needed for the last lot of pages to which I am now up to November 2024.

We received our first RHS magazine which will be great for the journaling too.

Oh my life the HEAT is killing me! Even with my air-con unit on all day and all night it is still 26 degrees in my room! 20 degrees is more my max norm for functioning but have been managing OK at 23 but no not this hot!

Add to that I twisted my knee going to fetch my medication from under my new table in my room  as it has a 25degrees max point and the Bathroom is currently 28! Oh man!

Here are the last 3 LOs on the coat hanger. It is one of those skirt clip hangers, covered in scrapbook paper.

The third, lower page is attached with mini pegs. I display them like this until the next ones are made before adding them to my albums.

Yes I did scrapbook the bathroom tap! It had the added story of inside stopcock seized and then the outside stopcock handle breaking off.

The waterboard had to sort us out and it was finally done on 20th Dec 2024 - that was certainly an interesting time!

Another couple of Jonah pages, no idea when the next installment will be.

My last weeks scripture journal done and my current weeks all ready.

And finally my hubby's Birthday Card for today.

Hoping the temperatures are cooler and my knee is OK for today.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Gosh I never think to move my meds in the heat! Most of them are in a cool cupboard, but now I feel I should check. Sorry you are struggling in the heat, but goodness it has not decreased your productivity at all. Wow. The card looks lovely and I bed he was thrilled with it. I also love your layout display. wish I had done that rather then tucking them away in albums right away... Happy WOYWW

It must have been awful in the heat, I just can’t handle those sorts of temps. You’ve still managed some great crafting, loved your hubby’s card. Hope he has a great birthday! And only you could do a LO about a tap, lol!!!

Ouch poor knee, hope it's better. A friend yesterday asked how many fans were using and was truly shocked when I said we didn't have any, it never occurred to me tbh! Im sorry that you suffer so, I've no idea what my maximum degree Celsius number is for coping...better that I don't, it would make me fixate!! Lovely to see your scrapbook pages, I like the idea of displaying prior to filing, kinda makes the work more worthwhile.

I saw you did get out for hubby's b'day, glad it was a nice temperature! the gas work is only done to phase 1, plenty still to go - like digging the holes in the road and up to the properties!! Helen

Hope your knee is better - it sounded painful. I think we've all suffered with the heat and it's really not been quite so hot here in Shropshire. I love the birthday card.x x Jo 🌈

Hope your knee is better now and that you are enjoying cooler temperatures too. Glad to see you're scrapping again. That's a lot of photos to be worked on. I've earmarked a hanger to display pages on so I can enjoy them for a little longer before they go into albums. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #15

Oh dear, your poor knee! Hopefully that has healed up! As far as heat goes, even with AC, I still use a fan in my bedroom as the AC has a hard time cooling tht room down enough for me to sleep! Downstairs I'm wearing a sweater! Your scrapbook pages are lovely, and yes you totally should scrapbook the tap! It is part of your life's adventures! Have a wonderful week, hopefully your knee is better, and you are cooler! Lindart #16
