About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #694 - Cushions

Thought I'd wash our cushion covers, but found the inner wadding paper type covers had mostly disintegrated!

So I've made new inner covers from old pillowcases, old shirts and an old sheet.

Emptied my fabric store from one of my under bed drawers and it's not half as nice as Jan's fabric. In fact there was only one that would come close to her wonderful array of fabrics.

I can but dream.

The little journal on my desk was found whilst dusting some other shelves. I read a few entries and came across a time that my Mother disowned me in the past which I'd documented. So reassuring that I'm not wrong to walk away from her as she has done this to me ALL my life and as sad as it is, I need to look after my own wellbeing. I have documented the most recent malarkey and adorned with lots of my new die cuts, and positive thoughts.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

WOYWW #693 - Rest in Peace Your Majesty

Another week and yet again what a week!

I have spent most of the week glued to the TV watching all the ceremony that goes with the passing of our sovereign Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the ascension of our new King, Charles III.

Jolly good job the new sofas and chair actually got delivered last Friday after all.

This morning sees our old sofas being collected and transported to our son in Cambridge so very nearly back to the new norm and the second door rehung!

Was beginning to feel like a cinema in our front room!

On seeing our new King's first address to the nation, the photograph he had by his side of his mother reminded me of a LO I made some years ago, June 2009 to be precise. Just loved this photo.

2012 with the Diamond Jubilee I produced a plethora of items that I would like to share as my tribute to her majesty's lifelong service to our country.

A scrapbook layout

A double page in my one and only Altered Book

A mini tag book

And a tag in my year book.

WOYWW #692 - What a Week!

Oh my life, the new sofas (ordered back in June) were going to be delivered, then they weren't, then they were then who knows if this Friday will actually be THE DAY. Anyway we are still with doors off and no decent seating in the lounge having moved the old sofas out!

They the dishwasher developed a fault, Hubby fixed that then another fault so he ordered the part and finally after a week of dish washing and upheaval in the kitchen - did I mention the leak and mouldy cupboard as a result! He replaced the fan in the fridge/freezer too, we'd been eating up the contents the past couple of weeks to enable that as well.

I went to a church coffee morning and no one was there - apparently it is starting THIS week but there wasn't a date on the leaflet I was given.

Needless to say not much crafting but I have nearly finished my last pages for January 2022 and after these I will need to order more photos....

Hope you've all had better weeks.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.
