About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #880 - Sewing & Scrapping

A friend gave me the mini sewing machine on my desk. I had shown her how to use it the last time I saw her but she hadn't had it out of the box since then so thought I best have it.

Funny I saw one on a desk last week and was thinking of getting another one as the manual one I have is rubbish.

I have done a lot of scrapping attempting to get me up to date with the photos I have printed before a couple of online courses start soon... (see end of post)

I finished up my 21st album with 3 pages for the rest of November 2025.

The Wired page uses a paper I have had in my stash for over 20 years!

The Sewing page, I used my new alphabet yet again plus my new nestie flower dies.

The Hand and "Lights" are the respective last and first pages of my 21st and 22nd albums.

I did a double LO of my hand recovery throughout December 2025.

Hoping the colourful flowers take away the trauma of the month! The colours reflecting my hand cream gift and my thread win from the last Zen.

When I picked up the pages I really like the shadow they made from behind so took a photo like that.

Next pages are the shooting stars plus Christmas and Boxing Days.
I even made a insert for my 2016 album for an extra photo which had been given to me a while back. Taken by the husband of the friend I was birthing partner to, same one who gave me the mini sewing machine.

Just a few more pages till I'm caught up and need to do another print order.

The courses I am signed up for are:-

1) Faith Fest - 20-21 April but I have paid up so can do at my leisure - phew!

2) Making Zen - 4-8th May signed up for the freebie so will be a bit more of a challenge.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

WOYWW #879 - Wisley

Desk with more scrapping pending. Just 3 more pages left in my current 60 page album which will take me to the end of November 2025.

Don't really plan where my albums start/finish so it was a surprise to find out the next one will begin exactly with my hand operation on 1st Dec 2025!

I've scrapped a lot this past week - spurred on by my new dies methinks.

My son's final move out to his new flat with the help of a mate as hubby had come down with the virus I had which had caused the cancellation of my hand operation in October last year.

A friend's wedding at our church.

A walk in the woods, fireworks and some post Making Zen sewing.

Then our first visit to son's new flat, which marks a culmination of 9 pages devoted to the BIG move!

I used the left over piece of patterned paper to make a card too with a poppy I had painted a while back.

Yesterday we went to RHS Wisley to see the tulips, certainly a most impressive display.

Shame I has a headache all the day out and felt horrid all evening too. Definitely think all the sunshine made me feel so ill - oh well.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

WOYWW #878 - Recovering Slowly

A bit back to Billy Productive this week thank goodness.

Desk has the back of my concertina journal in progress, more of that later...

In the week, I started slowly with some fussy cutting of the blob flowers and watercolouring sprigs on the waste.

So cool to be able to fussy cut without my hand going numb. Still have to deal with the scar pain, which has been quite sore this week and the arthritis, but on the whole much better.

Then I did a couple of watercolours from pictures which caught my eye on facebook.

Gotta love a kooky bird!

Saturday I picked myself up and visited our local scrap scheme for the first time. They are only open to non-members once a month and this was the first time I could possibly go..

Found loads of dies and got some other bits and bobs all for £7 - actually less but I rounded up to the change I had!

Was only thinking the other day that I hadn't got a new alphabet for years - The last one was through our Julia in 2018! Now I have 2.

The number dies were missing though, maybe I didn't rummage in the box well enough. I'll be going back next month.

I used the flowers on this journal page.

And the alphabet, flag banner, and circle edge on this scrappage.

(I took this photo before I added the written journaling on the page.)

So back the the concertina journal, which I made in the BB Bash and didn't like the back of so I painted over it all. Here's the before..

Here's the after...

With left over paint I made flowers which I cut out and stuck on the page too.

I wanted to do an Easter "something" and thought what the heck I'll do it here.

So on my desk is the version with the Easter images stuck on awaiting the next stage.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

and a very

Happy Easter.
