About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #782 - ATCs

On my desk from last week's 2 ATCs I have added 3 more, from Mary Anne, Helen and Angela (Felix). Our post doesn't come till gone noon these days which I'm only just getting used to. Thanks guys I love them, I get so excited receiving snail mail.

My actual SWAP partner is in the US so I could be waiting a good while yet for hers....

There's 7 days of my May journal following Messy May still, loving the variety of techniques and things I haven't tried before. I copy so much then branch out..

Days 23 & 24 really stoked me, both have a pocket one with a tag the other with a zine (which was a handout I decorated).

I rewatched Encounters in Colour taking notes and saving links.

I made a pocket in my notebook using something from each of the lessons.

I did an extra journal page for the May Scavenger Hunt Challenge on the Gud Karma Creative Studios Facebook group.

It had to include; Childhood Memory, Oval, Leaf, Elastic, Pocket, Yarn, Sunshine, Alphabet.

I used some of the duplicate Tea Cards I purchased a few weeks back.

Just realised my memory was half a century old! Oh my. Been having loads of good childhood memories coming to mind lately. Popping up before I loose it completely as the short term memory is certainly not what it used to be.

The British Wildlife on the cards had memories all of their own.

I got some new clothes too. Ever bright colours, I bit like Jan's fabric on her sewing table!

Dyed my hair too, it was a bit challenging with the carpal tunnel getting ever worse (roll on 27th June for my injection and hope it does the trick) My finger tips keep splitting too, my hands are in a right state one way or another.

Purple fingers

Wrist Brace

Wrapped fingers

Happy WOYWW Everyone

Hi hope the injection works for you, it's something I've suffered with for a long time but managing to live with it if I'm carful. Gorgeous journal pages as usual you've been busy I think. Happy woyww, Angela x10x

Hope it works for you - dear son had two and then they decided maybe it wasn't CT after all. DOH! They are exploring RSI instead. Sigh. Love the blouses, such pretty colours, and always enjoy your pages. Your watercolour play looks like fun, and of course I used your printable already so you know I love THAT :D I always wanted lavender hair...maybe one day...
Happy Knitting Day (for me) WOYWW!

Well, Messy May is achieving its aim if you’re inspired by it then doing your own thing - the perfect prompt! I really love the colours of your new clothes, especially that juicy green, I’m using that colour a lot at the moment. Hope the treatment helps for your CT, that doesn’t sound like much fun.

I had carpel tunnel many years ago, so bad that I couldn't hold a pen for very long before my hand went numb. I hope the injection works for you! You are doing very well for someone with problem with their hands! I love pockets in my journals, though I don't seem to be putting many in lately! It's good that you are writing down childhood memories! That's something I haven't done yet. Have a wonderful week, Lindart #15

Your poor hands! I hope the injection will work for you. A lovely display of work. Do you have to wear gloves when you are doing art? Happy WOYWW. Angela #11
