About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #870 - This and That

Hmm couldn't sum up my week for the title this week! Curious.

I have started the BB Bash but I'm not a messy kinda gal so I'm just taking what I like from it and leaving it at that. I love the style of the presenter so hoping something rubs off on me.

Sad to hear on the replay video that some participants hadn't been so nice to the presenter with their comments - some people eh!

On my desk is a impromptu "messy" accordion/concertina journal made whilst watching the BB Bash video last night.

It's not on the agenda but was a good way for me to contain lots of different papers in my small work space.

I did do a "messy" kind of a page in my journal the day before. I had already started collaging bits and bobs on the page so just followed the instructions from there.

I did however have to finish off the page. I used the oftentimes forgotten scripture from the Old Testament about the crafter Bezalel who was one of the first to be filled with the Spirit of God to enable him to adorn the temple with creative arts. Exodus 31:2-3

I finished off my scrapbook pages from 2 geocaching circuits done last July.

The first an urban adventure in the village of Ewell (pronounced You-el). The second in deep Surrey countryside near Tandridge.

I then started August 2025 - depicting various memories of the long dry Summer we had! especially how the harvest was a month early!

Our first sighting of a frog on the garden and the iris leaves being as tall as me!

I followed this with a page of hubby's exploits cycling including the Basingstoke Canal and back to Tandridge to the DAD bench.

The latter which he did the day he cut 6 inches off my hair.

And finally a quick 2nd anniversary card made from part of a watercolour I did a while back, it needed a home.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

People who leave negative or nasty comments are the pits - if they can’t say anything nice then don’t comment! Your accordion journal is great fun, it’s a great start. And I can’t do messy either, I’ve tried but it just doesn’t work!

My mother used to say, if you can’t think of anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all! People can be so nasty and it is so unnecessary. I am in A&E at the moment, the doctor sent me here in the hope of getting a diagnosis for my face pain. Hugs Angela #10

I think you do messy well . It takes all sorts , people are so nasty in their comments sometimes, makes you wonder why people carry on sharing classes etc . Sorry my link today is wrong . Helen #1

Hi BJ, I intended joining in with the BB Bash too but this cold has not made me feel like doing much really but I looked at it today and it looks interesting, might be able to pick something up from it. I love the card you made too. Wishing you a very happy woyww with hugs, Angela x9x

I really believe that if you have nothing nice to say you should say nothing. Some people need to engage brain before opening their mouths. You really look to have enjoyed your messy fun.

I don't think I have EVER made a nasty comment online to a teacher. The most I ever said was the class was not my style. Why must people be so mean? I love your messy accordion - it's going to be fab. Love the ART page too, really pretty. Happy Internet Issues (still) WOYWW!

Good morning, BJ.
Some people need to watch BAMBI. Thumber's mom had it wright when she taught her bunny boy, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Just clamp the lips shut and move on. LOL
I'm checking out the link you shared.
Hugs & Creative Blessings!
