About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (currently a year behind!), plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #848 - Little Fishes

Just got back from the RHS Wisley Flower Show and bought a couple of things.

A bag of wool to help shore up my leaking hanging baskets! I didn't do too well with the sphagnum moss lining.

And a couple of plant pot stems. Loved the boxes these came in and the leaflet inside plus an added extra of tissue as well. A crafters paradise.

One of my favourite photos of the show from the flower art marquee.

Not a huge amount of crafting this week as the sign-up for the BLESSED Bible Journaling Conference 2025 came up.

So I have been busy preparing downloads and taking notes all for the Free Pass.

It's on from 15-17th October

I used the little fishes stamp I made last week for both of the bonus pages in the Jonah series.

I also used my new big alpha stamp.

I did a little Bible Watercolour as quite taken by a verse.

There are quite a few different translations but I find all the differences seem to enhance the verse in the end.
Psalm 56:8

You keep track (count/record)
of all my sorrows (misery/tossings/wanderings)
You have collected (list/put) all my tears
in your bottle (scroll/wineskin)
You have recorded each one in your book.

Another thing on my desk is my scripture writing journal. I've returned to the Beatitudes and would you believe the conference in on the Beatitudes too! Here's my week 7 layout.

And finally a few visitors last week asked about the paint colours I used on my journaling page, so here they are.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

So glad you enjoyed Wisley, it’s a lovely place. Your hanging onto the box/tissue etc etc made me smile, I think all we crafters do that. My hubby will now hand me some packaging to check whether it’s a keeper or for recycling!

Wow, you have really been making the most of your time - I miss the seaside. We went to the flower show once but Jack was little and not much interested. Maybe one day we'll get back there :) I love those fishes - they look great as a school. Clever you! Happy WOYWW!

I'm so glad you enjoyed Wisley, I love the photo of the blue and white flowers. Good packaging is always a huge bonus when you buy things and I often reuse a company if I know their packaging is gorgeous! I love the little fishes stamp, it looks so good on your pages. As always you have a wonderfully varied desk - if only I had a fraction of your energy and drive!!
Hope you have a good week,

Well get you going to Wisley, that's a lot of out for you! The moss thing...argh...my ma in law once told me to buy the moss, line the baskets and then repeat at least twice to maintain plant life. Totes put me off! I love the fishes stamp, great make, I feel that's going to be incredibly useful!
