About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (currently a year behind!), plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #844 - Poorly Hands

Desk is a bit sorry for itself this week.

There's my Herma removable glue refills for scrapping my photos. It's part of a bigger Amazon order, I needed cheering up...

There's my scripture writing - I'm following a daily verse plan for the month on Surrender so there's a hiatus in the Beatitudes for now.

Here's last week's Beatitude, "Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy". Matthew 5:7

In the yellow tray are the left overs from a Faith Journal entry for an August challenge on JOTW.

Here's my page. Was struggling a bit with the prompts and also with my hands/wrists, see below.

So yes feeling a bit sorry for myself this week.

My Left Carpal Tunnel is quite bad and also what must be osteoarthritis in my Right thumb and wrist making it sore too.

I did manage a couple of scrap pages this week, still in March. More geocaching adventures.

Got stuck on papers to use for the next sets of photos so made a Temu order for 5 pads of papers - oops.

They may even make it by next week along with the rest of the Amazon order another scrapbook and refills and one of those alphabet stamps I keep seeing on various people's desks!

Oh and hubby found me some begonias (the only bedding the slugs and snails don't devour here) so I brightened up my hanging baskets a little.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Oh sorry to hear you are in such pain. It's disheartening, isn't it? Hopefully the few bits you did manage (and some fun shopping) will perk you up a bit.
Happy (cancelled knitting day) WOYWW!

That must be very sore having both hands causing problems, hope you manage to get the pain under control very soon. The hanging baskets look really lovely, the begonias have perked them up a treat - good buy by your hubby!

Sorry to hear you are having such trouble with your hands. Great Bible pages and journal pages. Slugs are such a menace in the garden aren’t they. Your lovely hanging baskets should be safe. Happy WOYWW. Angela #10

Got distracted again! Followed your link to JOTW, I have been reading the posts etc. I don’t seem to get notifications even though the settings seem okay. Time I got up! 🙃

Argh, awful wrist pain! I take it you've decided against having the second wrist carpal tunnel surgery? So sorry you have this to live with. I'm loving the shopping to cheer you up and because you need papers to inspire you!
