About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #810 - Advent Week 2

I was doing really well with all my Advent crafting then some prompts were late due to tech issues then they came all at once and I lost the plot.

Anxiety set in, Christmas looms and I'm all of a tither.

Maybe the little Elf on my desk is to blame???

Anyway I am trying to let it go, concentrate on my daily journal so I complete my year of a page a day for my 60th year and anything else is a bonus.

My daily journal is made up of pages from the freebies I mentioned last week.

The advent words are in the journal made on the craft retreat last month.

I've managed a few pages in my Bible as well.

But this is where it all went a bit skew-wiff.
The devotion in action is a series of 12 pages but published on random days so they just "appear" as and when....I have ONE outstanding...

Still can't remember where my carbon paper is and struggling with tracing when there are paintings on the reverse of the pages.

The She Sketches Scripture is supposed to be daily but for tech issues mentioned above. 10 have now been published but I have only just done Day 7...

I did go to my first wreath making afternoon at my new church on Saturday.

And I did get the decs up on Thursday too, gone with Gold and Pink for my main tree this year.

I put all the gold on first and said to hubby, "Shall I add the Pink or NOT?" to which he answered, "Have you got red?" Oh my life.
We did have a plumbing issue Friday evening as well this week where hubby broke the outside stop cock as he was turning it off so he could replace the internal one which has seized. Waited with only a trickle of water for 4 hours but the SES Water guy came and sorted us out to full pressure and places a job card to get the tap fixed - still waiting on that bit.

And Breathe....

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

How did you get all that done in just a week? Do you ever leave your desk? And they are not just slap-dash pages either. So impressed. Water is trouble, for sure. Never forget that NYE when Hubby and Darling daughter were in the kitchen dancing to loud misic and I was upstairs bleeding radiators. BING the little peg in the radiator shot out and water was gushing everywhere. I was yelling, they kept dancing...it was horrid. You were lucky! :D
On time for WOYWW!

I bet he was cussing after breaking off the outside stop cock, fingers crossed that everything gets resolved asap. Your artwork is lovely again this week despite the tardiness of the prompt, hope you managed to relax a bit.

Amazing, don't know how you do it so much artwork completed. I think you should give your time to rest for a while or you'll be worn out before Christmas. Have a good week and happy woyww. Hugs Angela x11x
