About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #453 - Fairy Snowflake

As I might need to be a SWAP fairy again I bought this magazine as it has a freebie fairy die by Joanna Sheen, well that is my excuse anyway! Seem to have got a piece of mirricard with it too.

As for crafting, all I have managed this week is to mend the Christmas decoration my son did in school some 14 years ago. It had become very brittle and bits were missing so I hot glued and silicon glued it to a piece of scalloped acetate. I broke off some bits to even it out and stuck other bits back too. Popped a gem in the centre as well - aw.

Did take my tree down last Friday on Candlemas, it's on my previous post, the first non-WOYWW post since last October! Golly Gosh.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

That's a good bit of mending - pleasing when that happens! I don't buy mags anymore, not even with tempting things on the front, I have a Readly subscription instead.

I don’t buy magazines much anymore, since there is so much online, but they are fun to look at. I see your glasses on your craft area. Since I had my cataract surgeries, that is where mine are most of the time since I only need them once in awhile for close up detail, Happy WOYWW! #37.

Nice die.
Not a clue how you chat on someone's timeline - nor how I got there first - I just went on because I had not been sleeping - slept from 8.30 am though - until 5.30 pm. Still full of a cold though.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Hi BJ, that's lovely that you were able to repair the decoration your son made. I can't recall that my daughters ever made Christmas decorations at school, or at home come to that! I've missed out! Hope you have a lovely week, Heather #31

Hi, Bj, you're not the only one who succumbed this week though not a fairy for me but a stamp set that came with Crafts Beautiful. What are we like! You've made a wonderful job of fixing the tree ornament - your son will be pleased. Sorry to see you have a bad back - hope you make a speedy recovery. Hugs, Elizabeth x #30
