About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #422 - Empty Desk

Hmmmm empty desk again except for list of things to do.

I finished the shirt collar removal last week and it was received with thanks, some money and more importantly some chocolate!

I also recovered my badminton racquet grip, never realised the handle would have been wooden!

This is my spare, I did my main one too.

Only real crafting was a birthday card for hubby.

Glasses Update - I got my refund of £60 for the difference between the Varifocals I hated and the Bifocals which are much better.

I have since bought a pair of single vision driving sunglasses on-line for £30.40. Wasn't going to bother but it has been quite sunny of late!

So that's me, really need to do some scrapping and ordering of my next set of prints as I am 6 months behind now!!

Got a craft friend round today too, best set up the Cuttlebug!

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Good save on the shirt! Like the photo of the 5-pound note - you captured the holograms so nicely! I had no idea that was a badminton racket! I thought it was a new craft tool or something LOL! Happy birthday to your hubby and happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #20

A job well done definitely deserves chocolate. I never knew you could recover your racket. Have a great week.

Happy WOYWW. Now I want some chocolate! I used to play a lot of badminton very much earlier in my life. Doctor has banned me from racquet sports (I used to love tennis too), as it really is not good for my hypermobility. It seems that golf is ok, as long as I am careful, so I am still enjoying attempting to hit little white balls! Ali x #25

Great job on the shirt collar. I would have put off doing that, for sure! Am so glad the bifocals have worked, watched your varifocal story unfold while we were away, it's amazing how differently we all manage with them. I think the sunglasses will turn out to be a really good buy.

Great card. Interested to hear about your glasses - my optician tried to convince me too get varifocals but I'm not so sure - I just look over the top of the ones I have at present!!

Sorry i am late BJ got carried away in the garden ran out of time... I haven't fitted a collar or made a shirt in 30 years, clothes are so cheap to buy now and relatively good value for money - speaking of which that fiver looks very foreign to me now!!!! The chocolate is far more familiar...good job or the new cover for your racquet - next time with washi tape for that crafter bling style? dxxx 21

Those grandfather collars are so neat - thanks for explaining them to me last week! Lovely card for your hubby! And just because your desk is empty doesn't mean you haven't been busy! Thanks for sharing (sorry for being late!), Lindart #37
