About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #859 - Guess What?

Yep - more stitching...

Working my way slowly through the Making Zen sessions.

I stitched another bird and a mandala.

I extended the snippet roll and covered my tin.

Made a piece for the lid too.

Then I just HAD to make a rainbow snippet roll.

I stitched on a photo and made a garland with bits and bobs too.

Today I made the blue scapular and circle piece.

Earlier in the week I made the mini journal with painted/inked fabric sewn into a book and made the first page too. Stamping on fabric is my new "thing".

Even earlier in the week the conservatory served as another "desk" as I sorted an old chair out for my son as the base fabric had "died" and it was "leaking" stuff! Fortunately had some spare "stuff" from my upholstery classes pre-son days and some fabric for the base so used that.

Health update I HAD a new date for my surgery in January but only found that out with the cancellation text they sent as we'd had no post for over 2 weeks! All this has really messed with my head so I have booked a private appointment with the same surgeon who did my right/other hand back in 2021. Might have an actual date  soon now.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Well, you HAVE been busy! Must be a relief after a time of not being able to create. Seems like you've hit the ground running tho' and I love seeing such an array of things all at once. Makes my head spin, but but really, I love it all. Pre-son? You clearly have hoarding tendencies, much like me. But then I tend to need the very thing I finally decided to let go, sometimes within 24 hours. DOH! You rainbow snippet roll is my fave, so colourful it makes me smile! Happy WOYWW!

I wonder sometimes what's going on with post but sometimes it's the hospitals that don't send letters out in enough time. I have been told by people that they have receives phone calls asking why they had not arrived for an appointment at the hospital and the letter arrived the following day. Hope it all gets sorted. try to stay positive. Wishing you a very happy woyww. Hugs Angela x9x

oh wow some fantastic makes, love them. Sorry about your surgery but hopefully a private appt with the same surgeon will be quicker than waiting for another round on the waiting list. Fingers crossed you hear soon.
