About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #858 - Still Stitching

I am still loving the Making Zen Stitching Retreat.

I still have lots to have a go at but for now I've been adding the finishing touches to the Upcycled Denim Pocket bag with Sashiko-Inspired Stitching.

I wanted to make the bag up so I can use it for popping my phone in when I am out walking.

I added a zip for a more secure main pocket. I used the crotch seam for the strap which I find quite amusing.

I made a little needle book - that's been pending since the May Zen workshops so in the end I forwent the stitching and just made the book.

The only gingham I had was just a printed one and far too small for the stitching really.

I altered hubbies PJs whilst I had the trusty sewing machine out too.

Glad I have the 2nd table so I can leave it out a while for other projects.

I made a couple more little birds.

One for a neighbours daughter and one for my son in his new flat.

I followed the Snippet Roll video with gusto and has to stop myself at 50cm.

However I have now realised I could cover my tin with it so it needs to be longer now - LOL, with tapered ends.

The only papercrafting has been using up some scraps in a mini album (7.5x5cm).

I only made it as I found the sheet whilst looking for something else!

The scraps were the stamping tests fropm the cards I made the other week, wrapping tissue and words I had kept as special.

My photos came but the quality wasn't great I called Photobox and they have given me a voucher to get them reprinted. Might just get my next lot with that although it is only valid for 2 months. Hmmm.

Still coughing - although did manage the drive to visit son in his new flat on Sunday.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.
