About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (currently a year behind!), plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #832 - 16th Anniversary

Oh my life can't believe I have been joining in this amazing, epic, momentous blog hop for over 13 years!

Even managed to take a photo of my desk with something in progress on it, along with my anniversary ATC.

I used an already cut and embossed ATC card, probably been in my drawer pending this day for at least a decade!

I followed my art journalling process by collaging some papers for texture and interest then added acrylic paint (totally obliterating the interest LOL!)

I painted the tulips I'd learnt on the recent Faith Fest from Casey Turner and stenciled the birds.

A few drops of coffee and all done...

Happy WOYWW 16th Anniversary Everyone.

Other things afoot, on my desk is the beginnings of a journal page with some collage pieces.

To tell you the truth I saw a scrap of paper on the floor downstairs and couldn't resist picking it up and thinking isn't that interesting...

There's my daily scripture writing journal for this week adorned with lots of stenciling with my new stencils. (above)

Here's last week's all done.

I've skipped on with the scrapping and am currently on September 2024 - go me.

Here's June and the beginning of July.

The May bug for the 2nd year running, hubby cycling with a friend's son. My mate's Marriage Blessing and hubby's 68th birthday and mega geocaching circuit.

More geocaching mid-July and new Boots mid-August.

I have enormous trouble finding any footwear to fit as I have small but extra extra wide feet. These boots are 2 sizes bigger to help accommodate the width and are AMAZING.

Finally I did the bonus creative process for the upcoming Encounters in Colour 2025 freebie Faith Art Journaling Retreat.

We made our own washi tape, top half on microporous tape the bottom on masking tape. Both cut in half longways.

I then did a page based on the hosts one, using the tape I'd made plus scraps of a mop up sheet.

The inaugural retreat last year was amazing so really looking forward to this year's. There's a weeks worth of a daily process video each from a different artist. You get 2 weeks access on the free pass and there is now an option to purchase this year (which includes last years too) for the year which is really reasonable. Either way, I couldn't recommend it more.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Fab pages, as ever. and the daily one is particulary good - really like how packed it is. Love the ATC as well, but got sidetracked this morning and didn't even look till I got to my desk! No matter what my number it's just fun to join in. Love the stencils BTW and Happy Anniversary WOYWW!

Happy Anniversary! Made me smile, to think your mindset has changed to looking at scraps of paper as potential art! Love the ATC, can't do better than a tulip if you ask me! I too have small wide feet, have you found JDWilliams, they do a lot of EEE and up shoes, might at least be worth a look. Hated wearing shoes that are too big, they made me trip up!! Nice stencil stash, I can see a lot of uses there.
