About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (currently a year behind!), plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #829 - Faith Fest

Busy Crafty week instore for me with Faith Fest. Stuff laid out on bed, stool and desk all ready for the freebie sessions (Tues-Thurs 4 a day available for 24hrs from 2pm).

Just checking out my photos and it looks like I've had a busy week last week too!

First up I made some long awaited cards from an old masterboard.

Also some from a printed sheet of the houses I painted last week.

Plus a couple of Easter Cards watercoloured on some watercolour paper I'd cut into egg shapes probably last year.

Love using stuff up...All the diecuts on there were previously cut too.

I finished my Lent scripture writing on the names of Jesus.

We had Ancient of Days, (my favourite), Healer, Rose of Sharon, Deliverer, Name Above Every Name, and The Resurrection.

So enjoyed this scripture writing/doodling that I am going to continue it...

I'm going to focus on the word PEACE for this coming week.

I prepped my page with collage of bits and bobs , some acrylic painting and distress stencilling, on a blue (calm for me) theme.

Next up was finishing off the Lent bird series with Devotion in Action with

- stay in the house of the LORD Proverbs 27:8 and Psalm 104:12

- a place for you Psalm 84:1-4

I did my first scrapbook pages for May last year - yet more geocaching, 2nd visit to Godstone...

Then on Easter Sunday I followed an acrylic workshop. Thought it was a paint along thing but it wasn't as there was drying time required. I'm really not used to doing stuff over days so this was indeed a challenge for me. Anyway I had a go.

And finally, I filled my little travel tin with some watercolour paints, paper sheets and cut down a couple of my Ikea kids paint brushes to fit the tin. Jolly pleased with my effort, now just need to go out and paint something, that will be the real challenge.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Well done on your travel tin. What a lovely job you made of it.
As always I am amazed at the amount of crafting you do in a week. You are so much quicker than I am. I must spend too much time thinking on what to do.
Love the pages where you did the scripture writing/doodling and the Lent bird series. My favourite was the Lent scripture writing on the names of Jesus - beautiful work.
Hugs and Happy St Georges Day.

You’d pay a lot for a little travel tin like that so well done on making your own, it’s perfect for the job! The little houses are very cute, I like them very much. Great LOs too, we used to do a lot of geocaching and really enjoyed it, maybe we should start again!

You're always so busy. I'm late again as I had to go into town to see the bank but all sorted now so I'm on catch up. Love the card collection, it's always useful to have some spares at the ready. Wishing you a happy creative woyww. Hugs Angela x8x

I love your Scripture writing page. Do you start off with a plan, as in where each section is going to be or do you just fit it in as you go? I have taken lots of screenshots of the Faith Fest videos, I am looking forward to starting them either on holiday or before we go. Happy WOYWW. Angela #14
