About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (currently a year behind!), plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #825 - Struggling

Sincere apologies for not visiting last week, been really struggling with this head cold.

Thought I was getting better Monday but have been knocked sideways yet again.

Desk is a bit of a layered dumping ground.

Been trying to follow the BB Bash this year but not really liking the format and not well either.

Managed some Messy, Repetition, Scraps bits last week but my heart wasn't in it much.

Did my Bible watercolour for LENT week 3

Observe and Learn - Jeremiah 8:7

Even the stork in the sky

    knows her appointed seasons,

and the dove, the swift and the thrush

observe the time of their migration.

Also Week 3 of scripture writing following the names of Jesus and a You Version Plan.

I thought of an additional name for Jesus and came across an old printable of a door so did a page in my Faith Journal too.

I used some of the mark making I had done in the BB Bash.

John 10:9
I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

Really hoping I'll be able to visit this week. I'm not going to Church group again (my usual Wednesday morning thing) as not up to it yet and don't wish to spread any germs. So I should have the time but will I have the inclination???

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Sorry you're not well, know the feeling. Love your Lent picture, especially" observe and learn", and also your "I am the door" printable. Two positives from an off week well done.

Oh so sorry you are still feeling pants. I'm feeling fine but my printer is driving me crazy. I guess that isn't quite as bad as a head cold, but close LOL! Some really lovely work this week. That door is truly wonderful. And so are you for not wanting to spread your germs. Not everyone is so considerate.
A no-knitting day WOYWW!

Hello BJ, Sorry you're not feeling very well at the moment. Hope you are on the way to full recovery soon. Your watercolour illustration is simply gorgeous. I think many would love to have the pleasure of owning a bible so beautifully illustrated. Take care, Elizabeth x #14

HI BJ, head colds are the worst, sorry you aren't feeling well, but you certainly did more in your art than I would have! The painting of the bird is wonderful! And all the layered papers will be fun when cut up into pieces. Feel better soon, hugs, Lindart #15

Oh same, after I came back from holiday last month, a cold and felt horrid, then got better and after a couple of days it came back and knocked me sideways again. Poor you, I hope the warmer better weather helps your outlook. You've still an ages quite a bit this week. I totally forgot to blog today!
