About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (currently a year behind!), plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #822 - What a Week!

Oh my life, just uploaded my photos and forgot to take a photo of the desk AGAIN! All I can say is, it is its usual fairly tidy self, with very little crafting this week as it's been a bit of a week...

Last Wednesday was my late Dad's birthday so I was rather soulful and didn't make it round many desks at all, I'm sorry. Also we finally had our gas connection updated (had road closures since 2nd January and they are still in force now making life rather tiresome!)

Friday was our 27th anniversary and we did a little geocaching in the sunshine. I never made a card in the end as I just wasn't in the mood. Our wedding was the last time I saw my Dad before he died so it's a difficult time for me.

The windmill is a church, who'd've thought! It was in the "car park" of the golf club on Reigate Heath so not something you'd drive by.

I thought the gate down one of the footpaths to Shagbrook was rather arty.

I finally got around to the celebration faith journaling page following the process video plus my own take on it.

It was based on turning our backs to the world and following Jesus with all our hearts, it was such good timing for me.

I guess that's it really...

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Sending hugs. I can't imagine what a tough time it is to have such a happy event tied to a sad one. It seems to happen all too often. Hope you managed a small celebration, and your final journal page must give you comfort. Your geo-caching reminds me of once when The Hubster dropped me off at a crop and drove the kids literally miles to visit one of those brown location on the map, a histotic site of some kind. Turned out is was a small (2 foot) standing stone, in a little some fenced (like 4 x 4 ft) area in a PUB CAR PARK. We no longer trust those map legends without googling...
Happy knitting day WOYWW!

Yes! Someone really enjoyed building that gate post. Things like that always catch my eye...walls, posts....paths...they just add something else to something that's not very noticable, making it special....There was a nice wall build round a new build near where I live...it was nice, but??? I said to myself then, that won't last long...and within a year it fell down! Love your page...I'm still trying to 'get into doing them' but so far...not up to sharing! Happy Late WOYWW!?((Lyn))#13
