About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #734 - 19th Album Started

Desk as usual, pretty boring in its tidiness, so I'll skip to this week's projects...

There is definitely something to be said for leaving your next set of photos out with some papers and then on being moved one paper goes wonky and you think, yes that WILL work... which is exactly what happened here.

So my first LO for my 19th Scrapbook  Album is a few photos to remind me of the Bible Journaling conference I went to last October. Oh just remembered sending hubby out for the lemons as I hadn't realised we needed them! Did try doing some stamping for the page but that just didn't work the same so didn't. One reason the photos were hanging around for so long anyways.

I wrote nearly a whole A4 sheet for journaling which I will slip behind the page. I added some bits and pieces from the conference too.

Managed to remember hubby's 67th Birthday card for this coming Sunday. His main present came too, a new computer monitor so I'll be getting "one" of his current ones so my desk will be a tad different next week. Our son is popping home for the weekend too, happy times.

Here's the back of my Scripture card this week. The little ticket I found has a sentiment which fits quite well too.

One more to make 6 months of this project and we've been asked to make a video flip through of our ring books. If that works out I'll post it next week if I can.

And for my Bible water colouring this week I was a bit pushed for space. I asked the author how many more sections for this series and as she is doing one per chapter, (there are 6) and as I only have 3 margins she suggested a tip-in!

Oh look at me, pushed the boat out and added my first tip-in in my Journaling Bible. I also had to be creative as the printable provided was for American type buildings so I actually made my own this week.

So that's me all wrapped up. Shopping week for me (hubby and I take it in turns each week as he is now retired, he's even doing some of the bins weekly too, so I guess I am semi-retired now LOL)

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

You may not have your tidy desk to share, but you gave us a plethora of wonderful art to drool over. I love the tip-in. I hope no one asks you what a tip-in is (grin). They sure ask me when I say the word!!

Lovely card for your husband, too. I like the masculine feel to it. Happy WOYWW. No number yet, of course.

Love the tip in, your houses are great. Great Bible journaling too. I am now on Psalm 56. I am finding it much easier to write than when I started. The plan was to write by hand for my book, but I think a printed version might be best to fit it all in. Have a great week. Happy WOYWW. Angela #14

Best wishes to your hubby, and wow but you have been productive with your journal and cards. Colour me impressed :D The Hubster has been doing the shopping here since Covid and while I sometimes offer to do it, I think secretly he enjoys being in control LOL!
Happy cool and breezy belated WOYWW!

That little leap of faith about a free course and look how it's captured your faith and creativity, isn't it marvellous! I'm,over your theory of semi-retirement...gotta be honest, I'm hoping for more!! Have a fun weekend and happy returns to your DH!
