About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #443 - Threes

The only thing on my desk this week is the swap card I received from the lovely Cindy on the theme of Threes.

On the back of my chair my apron from the Tim Holtz workshop back in 2013. Need to keep that handy in case I ever do any crafting of the messy kind.  Just any crafting would be good at the moment though - LOL.

And now I can reveal one of the birthday cards I made last week as it's the fine lady's birthday TODAY.

Happy Birthday Elizabeth (fellow WOYWWer so allowed to shout it LOL)

Foot News - There was nothing the Surgeon could see wrong with my bones, tendons or nerves, not even any wear and tear, so I saw a Podiatrist yesterday and had my feet cast for some new orthotics. The bones across my foot are lying flat when they ought to be curved/domed upwards so a triangular pad ought to put this right. My current orthotics are generic half ones which don't address this problem.
Happy WOYWW Everyone.

I live in an apron. I don't wear anything I can't wipe my hands on. Lovely cards!

I have two crafting aprons but never wear them unless I go away to craft.. because at home I wear an old scruffy top I can wipe my hands on instead... the cards are just fabulous. Hope the new orthotics work. Helen #2

My apron is supposedly handy but seems to regularly become submerged under detritus, yours is really cool though.

Love the two cards too, both different but very well done, BJ! Pray orthotics sort out foot pain for you, as it’s really a problem.

Happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz.x #1

On days I can't get out of bed for shoulder pain I count my blessings it is not my feet...on a good day I sit at my sewing machines and wish it WAS my feet!!!!

Ah life's trials! Hope your inserts offer you some relief, much love Donna 26

So nice that you are getting something to help your feet. I know first hand that sore feet can ruin a gal's day! Hopefully you will not have to worry about your feet after you are all fixed up! Lovely birthday cards, I'm sure they will both be treasured! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #27

Hmm maybe I should use an apron! I tend to wear scruffs and just wipe any glitter, glue, etc on my clothes - shock horror!
It's always interesting to see what's on your desk BJ 😊

Hi BJ, I'd have to go downstairs for an apron - I really should keep one upstairs for when I'm planning messy work. Thanks for the birthday greetings and I absolutely love the card you made for me too. Hope the orthotics do the trick and make your feet more comfortable - you need them for the dancing. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #32

Pretty card for our Ellie, bet she was thrilled to get that. I like the optimism in having the apron handy, especially at this time of year!
