About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #418 - Not a Paint Person.

So to my desk, not much happening other than the next set of photos to scrap.

So popped my ATCs on it for all to see.

I received another 3 after last week's posting and have sent another 4 since.

As for last week's paint pending, I guess paint to me is like stamping - not my thing.

Whereas pretty papers, coloured card and diecutting IS my thing.

So what did I do with the painted background?

Well I cut it up and and diecut it - LOL.

Happy WOYWW Everyone

You certainly put your painty background to great use, BJ, the page is gorgeous and the die cuts work brilliantly don't they? Your ATC is in the post, promise. Sorry for the delay, we have been away for a couple of days for Hubby's birthday.
Have a good week

Fab post, not sure what it is you don't like about paint (or stamping!) but it wouldn't do if we were all the same anyway, would it? Fab desk and projects today

Happy WOYWW

I love what you did with your painted paper. It is gorgeous. I'm not a stamper, but love making my own backgrounds. I don't die cut, so I guess that's your thing, too. I DO like the scrapbook page and the ATCs you got. Happy WOYWW from #5.

Great use of that painted background. I like the fact that we all like different things; I don't scrapbook, but love getting inky and painty with my journals and cards. That's what this group is all about! Love your scrapbook page. Sarah #8

Lovely ATCs and layout! I like paint AND I like pretty patterned papers as well! Like how you used your painted background by cutting it up. Just do what you enjoy most, but never say never - you might just fall in love with paint one day! ;) Have great week! zsuzsa 28

Loved your ATC, nice to see the idea works on a smaller scale too, will efinitely be using the style again!! Love the painty paper as a background, but I also really like what you did with it. I would say you are a painty person really, somewhere along the line though, someone knocked your paint confidence over.

What a gorgeous tree - love the heart decoration hanging on it :) The lettering on the layout is so pretty - did you add the little sparkles yourself?

You used that painted paper very well! we all have our own "thing", don't we? But the painting seems to have worked very well with your die cutting and scrapbooking, so don't give it up! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #41

Loved the way you've used your background. Good job we don't all like the same thing, isn't it or the queue would be too long 😏 Many thanks for the ATC wrap, you get this week's prize for showing mine the right way up😜 have a good week, hugs, Lynne xxx #30

Great collection of ATCs BJ. It wouldn't do for us all to be interested in the same thing. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great week and happy woyww, Angela x14x

great looking desk! Love all the ATC this week! I broke open my Vagabond and spent sometime cutting out some papers and putting the die cuts in packages in a shoe box. I want to use them but sometimes it seems like ti takes too long to get it all out so I just did a lot at once! Thanks for sharing! Have a great week. Vickie #43

Fabulous post,
Sorry for the delay in commenting, laptop trouble. It's died on me and I'm in a bit of a flap.
On a positive note, my Dear Husband plans to buy a replacement for me.
