About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #402 - Happy Birthday ME!

Gosh 53yrs - really????   Yep born in 1964 so it must be!!

The desk shows the latest scrapbook page I am working on, my journal and other Love card.

Got a bit of "LOVE" inspiration from our host's desk a while back although neither of us can find the original post - blog or facebook???? Anyway Julia assures me it was her original creation which launched my crafting.

Firstly I made a SWAP card on the theme of LOVE, plus a spare.

I then changed up the colours, but had lots of paint left on my board so spread it on my journal.

The journal page just grew and grew and I added my favourite Tennyson quote.

"O love, O fire! Once he drew
With one long kiss, my whole soul through
My lips as sunlight drinketh dew."

I then adapted and blinged up the spare for a friend's Valentine Birthday.

Then changed the items for twin boys 15th birthday cards. (today too!!)

Thanks for the inspiration Julia.

Oh and the other scrapbook pages I have done this past week.....

Happy WOYWW Everyone

Happy WOYWW and HAPPY BIRTHDAY too! I was 46 on Monday. Not much of an event in our household. It is the busiest time of year on the farm, so we manage to find the energy to go out for a meal locally and that is it. So many uses of that Love design - clever. Ali x #26

Hi BJ,

Happy birthday to you!!! The Love card is very sweet, just in time for Valentine's Day. I haven't gotten into scrapbooking but I can feel the itch coming on. I found a whole box of old photos that I'd love to get into books. I bought some Project Life cards but then decided I don't want to use them for scrapbooking - it seems that they would conflict with the old photos (yes, taken before you were born).

Have a lovely day and Happy WOYWW!

Hugs,
Kay (41)

Happy Birthday to you and the twins! What a Birthday Present those two were. I love how you started with one thing and let the leftovers flow into totally different projects. I see your crafting list parallels mine a lot - though I do not knit. But do have my hands in pretty much anything else hehe.

Thanks for stopping by my blog this week. I'll put the reminder for my color challenge in my WOYWW post the week before. Remember, you can always grab my button and put it on your blog as a reminder.. and share with others who would like to play. Creative Blessings! Kelly #46

I am very sorry about the incredibly late peek Turns out working on a Wednesday and joining in WOYWW don't go together - so I will just have to have Wednesdays off! Happy birthday to you - I hope you had a good one. It's crazy how adaptive you have made the card, so many lovely versions that are very eyecatching. Thanks for sharing, EmbroidRage #6 x
