About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #399 - Colour Candy & Dancing

My desk today, colour candy threads gifted via Streetlife from a lovely lady who happened to live just round the corner from me.

The start of my 13th Scrapbook album, I'll need a new shelf for more....

And a box my husband thought I'd like despite the fact that I have just sorted and thrown out all the various boxes which had accumulated under my desk to accomodate the new PC! Hmmmm!

Anyway my scrapbook album started with a page of my son's new "smart" clothes he needed for his work experience during the Summer.

Possibly for interviews for university too, although I think they seem to have done away with the latter these days!

The first double LO is of some geocaching focused on the statue of Dame Margot Fonteyn which is just down the road in Reigate.

This got me thinking of my own ballet career which I blogged earlier in the week, here >>> Ballet

My first ever photo album (the sticky back kind) is rather shot and the photos wouldn't stick back in after I took them out to check the back for possible dates, so I made a scrapbook page to fit in the original album which I could stick back in.

Happy WOYWW Everyone

Your photos are great! I want to make some photo albums one day, I hate having them all stored on disc. You have an amazing work space and I can understand your dilemma with being gifted a new box...I am sure you will find the space for it!

Wow, I love the look of those scrapbook pages. I remember reading Dame Margot Fonteyn's autobiography several times when I was younger. I particularly remember the joke that Nureyev made when he learnt the year that Fonteyn first danced Swan Lake. "I suppose that was before you were born?" "No, exact year." Happy WOYWW Sara #37

Afternoon BJ. You have certainly been busy this week - all those pages completed. Well done. Love the embroidery threads. Do you do embroidery? I was given some glorious threads and some fabric recently, and I won't use them,. Can you make use?? I think you have my email address - just let me know you address and I can send some.
Take care. God bless.

It's always a pleasure to look at your scrap pages BJ, you inspire me! I noticed all the threads before I read how you got them and wondered what project you were up to next 😁 Oh and noticed all your Stickles too, mine are all thrown in a square gift box 😊

Love the last Ballet page - so cute! I took ballet too as a child, but I don't think anyone took pictures - probably because I was co clumsy! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #46

Wow, BJ, what gorgeous embroidery threads - great colours, and so many, too! What a gift! Thank you for your comment and I'm glad I've inspired you to use these! You've done some really great layouts - the ballet ones are gorgeous. All your lovely albums, too - what a collection! You should do a video flip through to show us what you've done over the years. Your desk looks so lovely and busy and productive.

Happy belated WOYWW,
