About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #382 - Sans Crafting

A whole lot of nothing has come to pass on my desk with regards to crafting.

I did fiddle with my latest photos and seem to be having a pink and purple moment!

I cut off the sleeves of a t-shirt for badminton but now it gaps at the armholes so that will need sorting, or rather be added to the pile of stuff awaiting the sewing machine's emergence from its wardrobe hibernation!

A pretty empty tissue box awaits being added to my patterned paper/card box.

Oh and the sign to remind me to go to my harp lesson needs putting away as I went yesterday! Having a laugh trying to play Handel's Harp Concerto which is grade 8 and I am barely grade 2 level - LOL

Had a pretty horrid week, usual monthly a week early, felt devoid of energy for about 2 weeks before and during that.

Car oil leak wasn't sorted by garage last week then a couple of days later my car battery decided to die. It was still in its RAC warranty so they came and replaced it but that took time and it is still leaking oil so is going to a different garage on Friday. The electric driver's side window had a blip Monday as well but seems to have sorted itself???

Add to that, although I managed to play badminton last night, I got hit on my back by my partner ouch!

Also the top of my water bottle broke and I skinned my finger trying to undo it! More ouch!

So definitely no crafting for me just now as it is even difficult to write as it is my middle finger on my right hand!

Hope everyone else's WOYWW is a good one.

Ouchie! Arnica for the badminton bruise. Tea tree oil for the scrape. Sorry you've had a rough week. I swear, doctors and mechanics are the worst. It's so hard to find a good one. I like the pink and purple with those photos! Hope this week goes spectacularly well for you! Hugs, LisaDV #36

Sorry to hear of your woes. My car is also at the garage; complete overhaul of back brakes and two new front tyres (ouch). There goes my crafty purchases for the next month or two! Hope you find time to craft soon and good luck with the harp lessons. Sarah #39

Oh BJ, what a week you're having! Those car intermittent problems drive you nuts, as do garages not fixing them properly! The electric window thing may be water getting in past the window seal. Happens on the passenger side in ours a lot. Have great week, Hugs Shaz#8 xx

Oh goodness you have been in wars - hopefully that will be it now and this coming week will be hugely better!
Hope you are soon back to crafting, and many thanks for your visit to mine earlier,

Don't you find that sometimes there's so much to do, you don't know where to start? I was like that recently, it's only the thought of letting someone down that has spurred me on. And well done you for having a go at the tricky harp music, sometimes it's good just to have a try!

You've definitely had a tough week this week. But the exercise is good for you and learning the harp will keep you mentally sharp!
