About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #359 - Kindness

Horrah fourth week in a row showing my desk off at WOYWW, whatever next?

Needed to do a bit of crafting to show this week so set to Tuesday evening.

Here's my desk with my new smartphone. I'm taking photos with that, my tablet AND my camera and getting into a right pickle!

This was the downstairs desk shortly after it arrived last week.

Then when my new word dies came.

And then when I got my spray booth (pizza box) out to do my first journal page in AGES!

Of course then I HAD to sort my ink pads and applicator sponges.

The journal page is using the hand prayer I did in church a couple of weeks ago. We had to draw around our hand and write what we thought of KINDNESS and then we prayed about it.

I did some Dylusion sprays for the background and a bit of stenciling (tidied that box too) and stuck on the glitter items I'd die cut last week as they were STILL on my desk.

I made some cards too.

Not to mention the SWAP card I made earlier in the week

and the planting......
Mr Grasshead and
CD Sunflower.

Well I think that is me for this week.

Happy WOYWW everyone...

...and I'm sorry that as I still haven't got Google+ I therefore cannot reply to some comments, although I do visit your pages.

Wow, you have been up to a lot this week!! Your spray booth made me laugh, even if I used that, I'd still end up with more paint on me than the paper!

Love the hand page! Very meaningful as well! What a great idea to have a spray booth. I must say, I've given up on sprays. I might give them another chance later, but for now we don't get along! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #36

Ooh ooh ooh, love love love that hand! Your spray booth looks like a good idea--I generally make a mess of sprays, but haven't tried a contraption like that, it looks like it would keep things fairly tidy!

Happy woyww to you, BJ!

Beautiful hand page. I love the box you have to paint in. I love using the Dylusions but I always end up making such a mess. The card looks really nice too.

Hi BJ, I rose to the test you gave us and found your WOYWW post. Gosh, you have been busy - makes me feel like a shirker! The sunflower seed in the CD box must be fascinating to watch - think I might look for an empty box and do the same for my great niece - I think she will love it. As I said before, your card is beautiful. Makes me want to go to Paris. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #31

Your journal page with the hand is awesome. I really like thsat.
I also like the word dies. They are so useful. I still fussy cut as I don't have any.
Congratulations on your new phone. Do you know how to use it? I have one (not a Samsung, but something like that, as that was cheaper) but I need a 12 yr old to teach me, which is not available as I don't know any teenagers with smartphones. I have to wait until Sunday if I need help sas there is a young man in church that has one similar to mine. I now know how to make a phone call, use Whatsapp, and take a picture. But then I don't know how to get my pictures onto my computer so that i can do something with them. AArggh! Technology! By the time I've sussed it, it will be obsolete...
Thanks for visiting earlier,
Have a good week,
Lisca

Love your journal page! What a great idea to make it and then praying! Yes, we all have all these electronics; I am trying to comment now on my Mini iPad, and having a difficult time of it! It changes my words! LOL. Thank you for your earlier visit. #54. Oh, and I have had trouble with linking, so you are not alone!

My fold-down spray booth is also made from a pizza box. I have 2 others, made from normal cardboard boxes, one for spraying inks and the other for adhesive sprays. Your hand prayer journal page is abslutely gorgeous... Such a lovely idea, and your background and emellishments are perfect! It's a beautiful piece of work. You look very organised - I've had a bit of a tidy up too, althouth the sewing area remains in chaos. Thank you for your comment on my blog - I am not over-impressed with my efforts so far but live in hope that I will improve in the coming days!

Happy WOYWW,

BJ, I seem to have missed you out when I replied to all those who had visited my page, Thank you for dropping by and compliments on the dedication card. It was only laid out there, it changed a bit in the sticking stage.
I do like the idea of a prayer hand and the way you have mounted it, very effective.

Thanks for dropping by, and yes, the brownish mess on that paper is scrap paper with overspray on it, and yes, I like it too :)

Ah....the spray booth I keep meaning to make and use but never have....yours looks well used and may give me the push I need to make one (rather than overspraying and cleaning up every time!).
