About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #885 - Loads of Art Classes

I seem to have signed up to all the free mini courses on the back of the Mixed Media Expo the past 2 weeks!

We've been looking at my favourite colours in one which I used for another 2 all on my desk.

Yep definitely love pinks and purples.

Leafed through a magazine and this is what jumped out at me!

I did a mini class on affirmations cards.

Quite like orange with pink and turquoise too.

Here's the last few pages from the Expo.

I did the Farewell page whilst watching Neet's funeral service so it's dedicated to her.

Treated myself to some new watercolour brush pens I saw in Sainsbury's - my others must be over 10yrs old.

Must get some Neocolour II watercolour crayons soon...

I also did a Zen session on pattern making and carved me a little flower stamp which goes well with a square one I made a while back.

My head is so full of arty stuff at the moment.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

You really are in full flow at the moment! I do love seeing your painting and multi media pieces, the page dedicated to Neet is particularly beaufitul, just like she was. The stamps in the final pic are fantastic, they remind me of Medieval floor tiles!

Happy WOYWW - Plumber, tree surgeon and painter/handyman all today so short and sweet!
I stashed the classes from MMM that seemed like my sort of thing and will get to them eventually. I also loved the cards class and the one that tribute to Neet came from. It was a good one - I would do it again for sure. LOVE your stamps - what did you carve into?

Well done you, I've kept looking at the free classes but the Baby journal had to be done and it's too easy for me to get distracted so I've tried not to look at them too much. I'm also trying to get the instructions ready for my next class at the Craft club but I can't wait to get these jobs out of the way. I love the colours on the affirmation cards. Wishing you a happy woyww, hugs Angela x9x

Love reading that your head is full of arty stuff B-J, long May it last! Love the affirmation cards and the colour combo, really nice. Your two stamps pair so well that they could have been made together to create a Moroccan design.

I really like your colorful affirmation cards and farewell page. It's alway fun to treat ourselves to new art materials, but I have to confess that I may have an addiction to getting art supplies. Happy WOYWW!

Sadly, I have never been good at arty stuff. The best (only) painting I do is painting the garden fence and gate.
God bless.

Loving the combination of the new hand carved stamp with the older one BJ. The collaged journal page looks fabulous too - as do the affirmation cards. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
