About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #881 - Faith Fest & Sewing

Can't believe I forgot to write my page last night!
I'm off for an eye check with drops this afternoon so thought I best do my post before...

I have lots of stuff out on my side table for Faith Fest.

I have done 4 pages so far they are based on the scripture in Mark 14:3-6

While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head.

Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, "Why this waste of perfume? It could have been sold for more than a year's wages and the money given to the poor." And they rebuked her harshly. "Leave her alone," said Jesus. "Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me."
I did my own intro page in my journal before these using a printable I had back in 2022 for a watercolour in my Bible and I added some of my Spikenard Oil to that page as well.
Previous to this I did my JOTW April challenge page.

Prompts were Animal or Bug, Circle Pattern, Orange, Pink and Grey, Toothpick or stick and a scripture.

Earlier in the week I did a few more scrapbook pages for the end of 2025.

and New Year.

I also got a few sewing projects done.

Various clothing alterations, in, out and shortening!

A bag for my walking boots which was initially a cushion from son's curtain ends but as blackout/waterproof they didn't work as covers! Perfect for mucky boots though.
And finally a new net in the Bathroom. The old one was all torn so about time. I have washed the old one for use in journaling.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.
