About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #866 - Brrr It's Freezing!

Oh my word it's been cold of late, even I'm feeling it.

My desk each morning is based on scar massage and gentle exercises at the moment. Most needing repeating 4 more time in the day too!

I finished off my Artistic Advent Course...

The penultimate session was on the wise men which took me a couple of days to complete, lots of drying time required...

I have a spare wise man to find a home for too.

The presenter had folded a piece of paper into 4 concertina wise to make the shape for all the men and cut one off!

I painted him whilst I was at it - well you never know when you might need a wise man!

Whilst watching the process video for the wise me I made a collage of some of the bits and pieces left over from the course in my usual journal.

The little tag I made found a home there as well.

The final session was rather epic. I started collage in my pjs before getting dressed in the morning and ended up finishing way after dinner time....

What a super inspiring course, and they'll be doing another one this year too - can't wait LOL

This all left me with 1 single and 3 double pages in my Advent journal - what to add there???

As if I hadn't had enough on 2nd I did a page for my word of the year HOPE.

Monday we went to RHS Wisley to collect our members seeds, we got 4 sets of 5 packs.
Rather amazed by all the ice in the water features too.

Here's a frozen parrot!

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

I love the frozen features at Wisley, especially the parrot! Did they have a sign saying No Animals were harmed in the freezing of this feature?! I’m glad your hand is doing well, the regime must be a pain but if it helps then that’s worth it.
Have a good week!

All of your journal pages are fab, but I am trying to sort out how she got all the wise men, but not them looking identical, in one cut. Or did I misread? The ice sculptures are amazing, so not I have to google how far away it is.... Happy WOYWW!

Great journal pages, that is one course I should have done! I am thinking of paying for Casey’s Patron at $16 dollars a month, works to about £11.. Patron sent me an offer, but it had gone up to $19 and Casey didn’t know about it. Love those ice photographs! Hugs Angela #13

Wisely looked marvellous, what a beautiful day you chose for a visit. I must say I’m impressed by the recovery routines they’ve given you for your hand, neither time did anyone recommend anything to me, once the GP took the stitches out I was left to it, told if anything to overuse it, get the useage going! I’m sure that painting the wise man was a good move, let’s face it, even if you never use him, having a wise man in your stash has to be a positive thing!
