Enter the new box with Vaseline and Epaderm for massaging onto the scar 5 times daily for.....ages. Plus the weights and squishy & hard balls for exercises.
My texture book and blue sausage are downstairs. The latter definitely my friend, so comforting on the scar, easier to roll over scar than with a ball. There is some kitchen sponge (without the rough bit) inside. I made it 4 yrs ago for my right hand recovery on the hand therapist's suggestion.
I have done a couple of watercolours in my Bible.Plus a couple of pages to finish off my mini journalOne used up the window cutouts from my Rahab page from last week for the cross and the sacrificial alter.
I hadn't realised the foreshadowing of Jesus carrying his wooden cross with Isaac carrying the sticks for the fire.
I did an Artistic Advent page of Mary seeing the angel proclaiming the conception of Jesus. The other mini page was for my word of the year for 2026. I got a Hebrew word from a group link
The word is Tikvah which means Hope rooted in Trust.
I used up a strand from my blue sausage and some vellum from the angels wings above as they didn't like wet glue (used staples here).
Happy WOYWW Everyone.
EDIT Quite traumatic seeing, feeling and dealing with hand after dressing off, back to waking at 4am - Oh man!

I am glad the dressing is off and you are on to exercises for recovery. Well done for getting some journalling done, too. Take care, and Happy WOYWW Helen #3
It looks well on the way to healing, you’ll be doing arm wrestling again before you know it, lol! At least you’ve managed some painting, well done.

Hand is looking good B-J, probably just feels tight and crusty so the oil and vaseline routine will be very easing, I must say I'm impressed by the way you're looking after it. Both of my scars are only obvious if you look and the second one is a very slight 'ridge' but all these years later are just a part of my landscape, i hope once this one has healed well youll have the same expeience. Your mini journal is a work of art, well done on the finishing!
I’m glad you’re getting better, BJ. Well done with your painting- your journal pages are looking lovely.
Happy WOYWE

I'm so glad your hand is well on the way to healing - you certainly seem to be doing a lot more than I did post op with mine - I'm sure it will stand you in good stead and help your recovery. Must feel good to get a bit of journaling done - it's all looking lovely.
Take care and have a good week,

Great journal pages. I discovered this week that one of Jesus’ names is The Branch from Zechariah 6:12. Glad your hand is progressing well. Hugs Angela #12
Good to see you being able to do some journaling again BJ. Best of luck with your recovery. Sarah

Your scar looks good and healing well. I bet that sausage works really well - great idea. Makes my bruised leg look mild by comparison.😃As usual, your artwork is wonderful. Happy Christmas.x x x Jo 🌈
Oh wow. Glad you are feeling well enough to do some journaling - hope I will join you at that level soon. The pages are fab, no decrease in quality even with the bad wrist! Clever tool for speeding the process along so hope you will be full strength soon. Happy day late WOYWW!
