About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #805 - November Journal

So I too a photo of my desk on Monday as I'd just bought s few things. Namely some more plasterers tape, a colouring book and some gel pens. I also found a tea I quite like, but we'll see....

The colouring book was an idea from an art journaling group where you can use the flower/images cut out on you colourful pages.

So I finished off the Bible water colouring series of more women of the Bible.

Susanna ; The Groupie. Named as one of Jesus's followers who was healed by Jesus and helped the ministry financially. Luke 8:1-3.

Tamar : What a mess! A bizarre story interjected into the Joseph narrative in Genesis 38

Jael : The hand of a woman! Totally hard-core! Judges 4:17-22.

I finished off my little 4" square signature journal for October (see photo below for the sunflower cover).

The cross was from the conference for colouring in.

The last 2 pages were just because...I fancied the colours and had a play around with techniques.

Then November came and it was time for my Bible Journaling Ministries page on Love, Loyalty and Redemption from the book of Ruth.

Then my Faith Inspirations page on loving your enemies.

I made a 5" square no-sew concertina journal for November's journaling, and these are the gel pens I got from Asda Monday too.

November's journal was made using lots of hand painted papers mop up or using up or otherwise...so the pages are kinda already started.

Going to try and use up all my bits and bobs in them too.

I got the Finding Peace prayer card from the last geocaching outing to a church. I had a left over pocket so used that up and have another pair pending the right place for them later in the month, yippee.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Such a lot of gorgeous work here. As usual your Bible painting blows me away. those portraits are beautiful. You really have a knack for painting them and should do more.
Your November pages have a lot of depth for them and the subject of the first ones is fabulous.

What do you use plasterer’s tape for then? I’m intrigued! Those gel pens look fun and were probably a good bargain if they came from Asda. Lovely paintings as always, so very different.

Great pages, I am just about to do Hannah. I either didn’t download the pages from W of the Word or they didn’t do Hannah. I found some pictures online though. I am always amazed£ at the amount you manage to do! Happy WOYWW. Angela #11
