About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #788 - Even More Journaling

Remembered what day it is this week - shock horror! Still losing plot these days though.

Here's the old desk - had more fun with the use up the paint sheet than the actual journaling - LOL.

This weeks pages have either been very simple or totally tiresome.

Day 03 - Fold

Made the butterfly folded pop-up which was fun. Used up some old magazine butterflies too.

Day 04 - Labels - lots of old saved ones

Day 05 - Lettering - what it says on the tin

Day 06 - Wildlife - Aaarrhhh!!! Loads of reiterations but ended up with gesso coffee and hand drawn leaves like Helen's stamps.

Day 07 - Window - Ring already on the page, with magazine picture. Added some paint and made the flowers like Cindy's on my ATC this year.

Day 08 - Observe - kinda followed the video ish... Saw the binoculars in my stash the other day and thought they would work.

Day 09 - Scraps - not got around to it at time of writing my blog....

EDIT did it quickly before bed last night

Oh and finally a page to finish off my June journal. WAIT seemed to be the word which the Spirit was offering me. A word seen on Facebook, the talk at church (old church for friend's marriage blessing), talk on you tube from Transformation Church in America.

I'm holding on to that.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Isn’t it weird how some things go smoothly and yet others are like drawing teeth? It’s the same with my sewing and I’ve found that if it’s one of ‘those days’, I leave everything on the desk and go and do something else, it’s always better the next day! Love the pop up butterflies and your journal pages, very pretty.

That's so wonderful that you've been inspired by other crafters for your JJJ & they've fitted seamlessly into your collages. I still haven't started mine, it might have to be JJA now instead! Have a great week, Lisa-Jane #11

Lovely journal pages! They are all great! My favourite? Observe, although I do really like the hand drawn plants on the previous page! I love the peacefulness and quite of the observe page, and wouldn't that be a wonderful thing to observe? Have a wonderful week! Lindart #17

Hello BJ, your desk is looking very clean and tidy. Nothing like the mess that is mine right now. Love all your journal pages though not spotted which of them could possibly be particularly tiresome. Have a good week. Elizabeth x #15

Hi BJ, I haven’t done any more with my journal, but hope to catch up this week. Love the Observe page and I have even got the picture! Don’t think I have any binoculars though! Was thinking of combining windows and Observe. Sending love x Happy WOYWW. Angela #12

Hi BJ!
I love the journal pages. I really want to do more of that kind of thing. The last couple I've done, I've been happy with - a rare occurrence, I can tell you!
