About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #785 - Remembering my Dad

Always a difficult week, the one with Father's Day and the anniversary of my own Dad's passing. My Carpal Tunnel Symptoms have gone haywire, not sure if it's the increased temperature or the stress of the moment.

Anyway, finished up the Wild Art Deep Faith course in my daily journal and have toddled along the past few days. Here's yesterdays desk doing yesterday's page.

Here's are the past week's pages:-

12) Recipe 2 - Safe with a photo of me age 2 and a half

13) Recipe 2 again as I never got to finish watching the process videos - Ask although I didn't finish watching again as I get too wafted away with creating. I watched after the fact in the end!

14) Listening to God - via magazine images and words - Sanctuary

15) Recipe 3 - With Love and the end of the course. The pocket has a note from my son as he'd stayed a few days.

16) Peace - on Father's Day itself

17) Time to Live...

18) Sadness and Sunshine - 26 years ago today I lost my Dad suddenly. Tears but happy memories.

I did kids work at church in Sunday and we made these for the Dad's so I made one for my hubby, the guys got Yorkie bars too.

I do believe there is #JunkJournalJuly on the horizon but not found how to sign up for it yet despite this video on you tube, I did enquire via their chat but they couldn't really help me.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

I totally forgot to post about your ATC this morning I''m so sorry! Writing a note now to remember for next week. I lost my dad the summer before last and I coped okay last year but this year I was a wreck. Funnily enough he was a Yorkie fan too! Here's hoping for a a sunny week, Lisa-Jane #6

I find it helpful that stores now allow you to opt out of getting endless emails about special days, when those days have a painful association. Your pages are all lovely, esp. the Peace one. Hope the CT eases, it must be hard.
Happy Desk Hopping (and for me, knitting)!

Hope the carpel tunnel settles down soon. Strangely enough I have had a lot of pain on my knee this week. Never hurt when it was a wound but does now! Maybe it's the weather or lack of sunshine.
Love the tool box - what a lovely idea.
Sorry it was a bad week - hope next week is happier.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

I do hope your carpel tunnel sorts itself out soon - it can be miserable, are you waiting on surgery for it? A lovely tribute to your dad - not matter how many years go by it's still tricky dealing with anniversaries and events like this. I hope you cope OK and this coming week is a bit better for you.

I know how you feel with both of those. I've tried to ignore all the stuff that has come up re. Fathers day. I generally find my Carpel tunnel gets worse if I'm putting constant pressure on that hand or sewing with a needle sets it off too. Hope next week is a bit better for you. Wishing you a happy woyww. Father’s Day is always hard when they’re not around any more, I wish I could tell mine what a brilliant Dad he was one more time. Sending hugs. Hope your CT sorts itself out xx

Sorry to hear you carpel tunnel is causing you more pain than usual. Anniversaries are always tinged with sadness when people are no longer with us. Great pages, I like you additions of ribbon and doily pieces. Happy WOYWW. Angela #12

It was my John's birthday week last week, so I didn't feel like doing anything. Tesco was thoughtful, and asked if I'd like to opt out of their Father's Day ads (that appear on my phone) so I said yes please, my dad passed 12years ago.....and John's now missed two birthdays, and I'm still thinking he's just nipped out on his motor bike. Love the tool box a great keepsake. Happy Late WOYWW?! ((Lyn))#18
