About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #369 - Double Entendre

Hello all you "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday" folk.

Here's my "craftcorner" and my desk is all tidy with my next set of photos to be scrapped waiting inspiration.

I just received my latest order of 150 prints covering March to most of June, so that will keep me busy. A bit like woman's work and all that, never being done.....

I did manage a couple of pages this past week though.

In my latest order of prints I got the one I forgot from the last batch, namely the main one of my son playing the drums at the Scout Carol Concert last Christmas.

So that is at last scrapped!

I also scrapped my 18th wedding anniversary. We went to visit the church we got married in, so I was able to pop a couple of the original photos on the page too.

I didn't start scrapping until  about 2005 and then I only went back to when I got my first digital camera in December 2003. So it was a great excuse to scrap some wedding photos from 1998.

So onto the "Double Entendre", and that would be,

What's Out Your Window Wednesday!

After a couple of false starts with no parking signs, last week and yesterday, they finally came and "Surface Dressed" our road.

Not that it in any way needed it at all having only been done properly back in August 2009.

But the Council is a law unto itself despite other local roads with mega potholes which really need seeing to!

So there we have it, "what's on my desk" and "what's out my window".

I guess that is the excitement over for the day, back to the housework or was that scrapping..........

Happy WOYWW everyone.

You have a great work space - it looks a happy place to work in, I think the cards down the wall look like bunting, so that might be why!
You've got a couple of great layouts there, the wedding page is really pretty and I love the lacey cut edging around the photos - very pretty.
Hope you have great week

Lol, love the alternative acronym! About time your road was sorted out - hope the workmen spent more time filling holes than drinking tea :-)
How lovely to do a LO of your wedding pics, I bet that brought back many happy memories. My wedding was 34 years ago (I was a child bride!) so I can't remember much of it ;-)

Great organised crafty corner and love those LO. I do a batch of LO and then move on to different craft. So much to do and never enough time :)

Fab layouts, especially the wedding one. What a great idea of go back and visit the church you were married in. I might have to put that on our agenda for next anniversary. Glad I popped by. Susanne #33

I love your scrapbook pages. Especially the one with the original wedding photo. I bet your son likes his photo on the drums! He looks the part. Does he practice at home?
I laughed at the double entendre. Yes, we should have a what's outside your window Wednesday too. Although in my case it would be a bit boring as I look out over the mountains.
A bit of excitement there for you to have the road resurfaced.
Sorry for the late comment. I thought I had already commented, but it aint there...
Happy WOYWW,
Lisca
