About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #364 - 7th Anniversary

Yay I made it to the WOYWW 7th anniversary, which makes it 10 weeks in a row for me after a long absence.

I have even made a couple of ATCs, one to SWAP and one to keep.

I was inspired by a twinchie I made a few years ago.

As for my desk, not so good - been having a problem with the wall so had to remove some stuff and it hasn't made its way back yet.

I did finish the scrapbook page in the week though, after as shopping trip where I bought some new clothes and some of the mini dies just like our Julia had on her desk a few weeks back.

I used the triangles from the bunting die and the ribbons from the t-shirts to complete my page.

A few people asked about my harp last week. Yes I am still playing and even treated myself to a bigger harp last year. I'm still only at grade 1 or 2 level and finding reading music really hard but plodding along.

Happy 7th WOYWW!! Wow, I love the fact that you've gone Harp-tastic! Is the bigger one full size? What beautiful instruments, I love the fact that you're enjoying them so much...it's the same with me and the brass band. I just enjoy making the noise :-D
Hugs, LLJ xxxx

Hi BJ. Like your ATC's - not joining in this time - as you know life been tricky. Beautiful harp. Wondered how you were getting on.

Loving your ATCs. The bees ones would be a real hit with my bee-keeping friends. It appears that keeping bees has taken over from keeping chickens. Happy WOYWW birthday x Jackie #31

Oh what a beautiful harp. I've never seen one close up. Looking at the colours of the strings, they look like the keys on a piano. I assume it is the same system. Go for it girl! You're never too old to learn. (the process just gets slower as you get older, but it is a lot of fun).
I am determined to visit everyone. I have dedicated today to WOYWW. (a freezer meal for hubby I'm afraid!)

Happy 7th WOYWW anniversary

what a beautiful atc you made! I am still so impressed with the harp playing, I can't read music at all (my music teacher at school was not impressed with my "abilities" in her music class, she was a bit of a dragon though!) Your scrapbook page is just gorgeous - what a great photo of you! Helen #11

Love the ATC you've made. Pleased to see you are still playing the harp too. My plan for today is to visit everyone even if it takes till midnight! But you might know the one day when I planned to sit and do this people keep coming, post men x 3, friends x 2, workman x 1 and my hubby in and out, dogs decided they needed to go out more than usual but I will get there Lol! Have a great woyww 7th Anniversary, Angela x30

I really love your harps - harp music is so beautiful, I have a CD of it and it's very relaxing. I have struggled to learn to read music over the years and I'm really feeling too old to learn it now so I do envy you that talent.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I popped your ATC in the post this afternoon too!

Hi there BJ - 10 weeks - you are doing well!! Had a rather bitty day today, haven't managed to get as far round the anniversary hop as I had hoped. My mouse died and I had to wait a couple of hours for the batteries to re-charge so I did manage to do my teen card today so that will go in the post tomorrow. Happy Anniversary!! Cindy #48 xx

BEE happy--love your ATCs. Good job on keeping it up for 10 weeks. I've been terrible lately, usually not wanting to fuss with my cranky camera. Your scrap page is looking good! That's so nice to see new stash used right away! PJ #63

I so admire truley gifted people, with talents in so many areas. you are amazing. Music & art! Ilove stamping as it allows someone like me - who cant draw or cut a straight line to have an outlet for creativty, as my head hurts from using it! Donna #13

Hi BJ, You'll enjoy using your new dies.

ATCs and LO are lovely.

I am finding learning to read music really hard. As a consequence my harp hasn't been out of it's carrier this year.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Happy 7th WOYWW Anniversary.

UNfortunately I dont play any musical instruments. I remember twinchies, made them ages ago and loved them but it was a challenge to decorate on something so small

It feels like it's been forever since I visited you. In fact, I would have been by sooner, but not long after I was finally able to link up, my electricity went out TWICE due to hail and thunderstorms that knocked the power out. Not it seems my internet is having a meltdown, and I have to reboot after each person I visit.

Wow, that new harp is incredible. I like that you showed how much bigger it is. I hope the wall isn't a structural problem, and can be easily fixed.

Thanks for visiting me Wednesday. So glad your AB means so much to you, too. Happy 7th Anniversary from # 5.

Hi BJ, I'm sorry I haven’t managed to comment earlier, once again life got in the way! However, I have promised myself to get round all the desks this week to celebrate our 7 years of WOYWW friendship - so here I am. Love your ATCs and your beautiful layout. I learned to read music at primary school and I think that must be the best time to learn. Not that it helped me to become much of a musician :) Have a great weekend, Elizabeth x #66
