About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (currently a year behind!), plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #812 - Merry Christmas

Oh my life chaos reigns on my desk! Trying to do my daily pages and the watercolours on top and son is here wanting me to watch films with him too!

Sat at dinner which hubby made only to realise I hadn't wrapped anything (except son's birthday stuff which was a few days ago!) We reuse gift bags these days which is a help.

Anyway what I really wanted to say was Merry Christmas to you all. Thank you for being there each week to brighten my days and inspiring my creativity. Love you all. Here's a little plaque I made from the wreath making left overs.

My son's birthday card.

Just now (gone midnight) realised I hadn't done cards for my boys, well not special ones - oops.

Fortunately have a couple of the new Christmas cards I made left over - phew.... they'll have to do.

And my pages for the past week.

Advent Words

Daily pages - only 11 to go for a whole year of one page a day.

Also I have been asked to prepare a Bible Journaling activity for our church prayer week in the New Year.

The signpost page above is my initial idea based on the verse for the year John 12:26

Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.

My Bible watercolours from Devotion in Action

And the "daily" She Sketches Scripture Course (free till 5th Jan)

I love the Lion but the Deer has to be my new favourite.

Happy WOYWW Christmas Everyone.

Looks like you've done well keeping up with the journalling. I'm with you on recycling christmas bags and paper too if it's possible and having saved them for some years I have a drawer full which is a bit scary really when you think how many I must have thrown away before I started keeping them. Wishing you a very happy Christmas. Hugs Angela x7x

I hope you had a fabulous Christmas Day, I was home late-ish from my brother's and didn't get to catch your desk then. The plaque you made with the leftover wreath items is so pretty. Happy WOYWW & Boxing Day! Helen #2

Hope you had a great day with family BJ. The boys cooked Christmas lunch for 12 (plus 3 plates for later) and it was delicious. A wonderful family day. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah

Merry Christmas BJ! I’m glad you had a nice day, you’re not on your own reusing gift bags etc, we do too, in fact I made fabric bags this year for reuse!
See you next year!
Hugs LLJ 3 xx

Hi BJ thanks for popping over. This is Shaz ... it won't sign me in. Doesn't like browser settings 😕. Oh well.. happy belatedly Christmas and WOYWW.
Thanks for popping over. Your bible journalling is amazing. You need a bible that has space for writing separate to pictures so you can still read it though... or I would. I'm totally agreeing in recycling.

A wonderful and prolific post as usual, how do you manage to fit it all in? I was going to start “she sketches scripture” yesterday but what with shopping and going to a garden centre as well, I only had time to do the study part. I really love the song Hallelujah (parts of it anyway) I discovered the lyrics are a bit odd! Not quite what I thought, but I am always singing the chorus so I have been writing my own verses! I watched midnight mass on the TV and you could download the service sheet which made it even better. Hugs Angela #8
