About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #730 - Ribbon Box

The "When you are Scrapping and just have to sort the Ribbon Box" edition.

Now that's better. Filled some empty spools with ribbons from my hanging jail ring too.

Got another ATC all the way from the USA from Robyn, love it thanks. Just one to go now, think it may have got lost or I mis-interpreted the SWAP, not sure.

Finished the page, wasn't sure I'd use this side of this Basic Grey paper but it seemed to fit. It was the day of the Queen's Funeral, I'd worn black every day in the intervening days.

This is the last page for my 18th day to day album. Just need to do the 4 others in between now.

Others I have finished are various stuff at the end of August. Receiving our new sofas and sending our old ones to our son.

Then the day the Queen died, remember the rainbows over Winsor Castle and Buckingham Palace.

One last thing, I shared this petition on my Facebook page this week after a visit to the consultant last Wednesday afternoon. If you are in the UK and would like to support, mainly women, who suffer from the skin condition of Lichen Sclerosis would you be kind enough to sign it too it would be most appreciated.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

WOYWW #729 - Fabulous Friends

Oh my what a FABULOUS week. I rarely get anything in the post so to get something every time postie calls is absolutely fabulous.

Thank you Christine, Helen, Julia, Mary Anne, Spyder (Lyn) Jan, Caro and Tracy. Two more to arrive yet as well...

I couldn't resist doing my scripture card early this week and adding bits and bobs from all my happy mail on it too.

Also last Wednesday I got a craft delivery so extra happy week.

Some Cut'n'Dry foam and a few extra bits (A stencil and 3 dies) to make it up to the free delivery amount! Oops.

All my sponges for my distress inks had seen better days so this was my desk earlier in the week.

Now that's better, all neat and tidy and the same size. I have now numbered the stacks of four and likewise on my little distress ink shelf containers too.

Oh and there's my previous WOYWW anniversary badges on Rudolph.

What a super week thanks to you all so much for being there every week even when I'm not! For your kind words and encouragements and everything besides. Such a blessing.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

PS I've updated my settings to hopefully enable everyone to comment should they so wish.

WOYWW #728 - 14th Anniversary

Oh my word 14 years of doing this blog hop, well I was 3 years later to the party and my, weren't there a lot of entries then, a whopping 185 the week I joined in - (14/3/2012 #145)! Think I'd been visiting a few weeks before then though.

Received my first SWAP "yesterday" from Christine, YAY - happy dance - thanks for the address too.

Anyway, I've made a few ATCs this year based on all the collage I have been doing with my #scripture52 cards, obviously a few are spoken for and some others have already asked to SWAP too, but if I have any left and you would like to SWAP do let me know in the comments. First come...

Happy 14th WOYWW Anniversary

My email for address exchanging is located on my profile, just click the link at the end of the "About Me" section.

WOYWW #727 - The Desk!

Oh my the desk in scrapbook mode, 2 LOs ready to stick but I got called away and not got back to them yet. Makes using PC awkward.

My reader got cancelled as the school is doing SATs so nothing requiring me to tidy up really.

There are 4 pages hanging up and 2 others already in the album as well. And another 2 I forgot to show on a previous week too.

I did a couple of journal pages, one for May and one for our New King.

Plus my scriptue52 card, hanging up too.

I guess that's me this week.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

WOYWW #726 - Scrapping & Bunting

Desk is cleared away as usual, thought I had my reader Tuesday morning but the school cancelled last minute..

Took this shot just before I went dancing.

Have been doing a bit of scrapping. I finished off rainy June 2022.

Then, as July ended up being the driest since 1935, there was all the water saving initiatives...

1) Jug for Air- conditioner run off

2) Jug for Kitchen hot tap run off and cold water veg washing etc. (still save some of the former now)

(Both poured into conveniently placed watering cans in the house)

3) Then finally bath water syphoned through hose into the trugs next to the empty water butts.

Then came all my son's graduation photos.

I started with the then and now pair.

The first when he went to visit Southampton Uni with his Dad in 2016 aged 17 and the second at his 2 year late graduation in 2022 then aged 23yrs.

How they change.

The mainly before photos...

The mainly during and after photos...

There's a photo of me and hubby in a pocket with the entrance and parking tickets on the back.

Used lots of my Tim Holtz ChitChat words on the tabs.

Still need to get all his friends names to add to the pages. He was all alone when we arrived and then they just kept joining us, it was a wonderful day. He's made some great friends, so proud of him.

Of course I did my Scripture card as well this week.

I made a flip "pocket" this time secured with a metal leaf and brad.

I half followed the FB video and half did my own thing.

Found a old Stamp of the Lord of the Rings so added that too.
Still waiting for my glasses, sent them back to Reglaze - paid extra for first class signed for and still no idea if they will charge me for redoing one of the lenses as it wasn't their fault.

Waiting for a call back from a manager at Boots as I complained about the branch staff, not sure what it will accomplish as I think I'll be going elsewhere in future. Should have gone to Specsavers and it's only next door on our High Street.

Anyway to finish off - the house got bunting ready for Saturday.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.
