WOYWW #804 - Devotion In Action and Daily Journal

Hello everyone, and for once I remembered to take a photo as I was about to paint in my bible Tuesday morning. Certainly makes a change to an empty desk.

I use my stool and a piece of hardboard as an extra surface whilst crafting (foreground). I have Devotion In Action's You Tube Video poised with the printable ready to choose the image size to trace into my Bible.

We're doing a 10 day More Women of the Bible series following on from the Bible Journaling Conference. I'm loving painting the hair!

Here's the past weeks pages;

First Tabitha who was raised from the dead;

Huldah who was a prophet consulted by the king;

Jezebel the evil wife of  King Ahab and

Bathsheba, the misunderstood woman.

Then the Heiresses / 5 daughters of Zelophedad;

Peninnah a very sad woman who was the rival to Hannah; and

Lydia the business woman, who was a dealer in purple cloth.

On the daily journal front, Tuesday and Wednesday I used some more left over images from the conference.

I used one of the smaller printables of Huldah on Thursday. This is the only notable woman I hadn't really been aware of despite having read through the Bible numerous times, so I was quite taken by her story, which is found in 2 Kings 22:14-20 and/or 2 Chronicles 34:22-28. We did actually have her in the conference too.

Friday I used some more conference pieces.

Saturday's page was after the ladies day at church, the angel just asked to be added to the painted background. We'd had a testimony about a midwife called Angel.

For Monday's page I used plasterer's tape to bolster my flimsy pages (see Sunday below), plus a Gecko Gals fairy from a few months ago.

I had a bit of a "mare" on Sunday night as I was a bit "gung ho" with the watercolours and this penultimate middle page of the last signature got so wet it broke out of the stitching!

I patched it up as well as I could using pieces of collage to join it back together and back in the journal. Not bad that it's actually taken till October for this to happen really!

So that's my week

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

WOYWW #803 - Ah the desk - Back in Order

Post Conference I am happy to say the desk is back in order.

I didn't get into too much of a pickle this year and therefore didn't need to sleep in the spare room.
Sorry for not visiting anyone last week as it's been mighty hectic, I hope to do better this week.

I have condensed the 27 conference pages into collages to save space, however you can find each day with links on my previous 3 blog posts.
Day ONE link - 8 sessions

Esther, Accusers, Anna, Mary of Bethany, The Magnificat, Hagar,

Eve and Leah....

Day TWO link - 9 sessions

Jehosheba, Miriam, Widow of Zarepheth, Rahab,

Abigail, Huldah, Elizabeth, Eunice & Lois and Deborah.

Day THREE link - 10 sessions

Hannah,

Mary Magdalene, Woman - Go in Peace, Naomi, Woman of Valour, Sarah, Rebekah,

and finally Martha, Ruth and the Woman with the bleeding disorder.

What you can see on my desk is the beginning of a 10 day course of More Women of the Word with Devotion in Action and water colouring in my Bibles.

Here is Miriam now transposed into my Bible.

Also the first new one of Jairus's daughter, who was raised from the dead.

I haven't forgotten my daily journal and have used up conference extras.

The bottom one is an extra printable about Esther.

Top one is a mish mash of various day's elements which I liked.

The bottom one an extra page from Lynn Grobler. I have since joined her FB group as I really like the artwork and devotions.

Top a devotion on The Attributes of God as the 2nd part of The Magnificat presentation which I didn't get round to on the day.

Bottom the strap line from the Hagar presentation about our God being the God Who Sees no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in and knowing He is there to comfort us at all times.

Monday's page is from an extra sheet on the Widow of Zarapheth session about God's Love not running dry.

Used my new Autumn Posca pens on this one.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Bible Journaling Conference 2024 - DAY THREE

Day 3 started at 4.05pm with Stacy Zant and Persistance in Prayer and Layers of Faith with Hannah.

1 Samuel 1:15

5pm we had Mary Magdalene: The slandered Saint with Regina Beard

Luke 8 : 1-3.

We had loads of freebies with this session including a little booklet and pocket. I've yet to fill in the booklet!

Hot of her heels at 5.30pm was Charlene Warwick with Woman Go in Peace.

I was rather crafted out at this point and gradually loosing the plot....

I added more Spikenard fragrance to this page. The woman referenced could be the same as Mary of Bethany on Day 1 but she's not named in this passage of Luke 7:50.

6pm brought us Naomi from Shalon Day. Entitled "Known by Name". Ruth 1:20

6.45pm we had Woman of Valour from Proverbs 31 by Hirjalda Mobley

Super process video but I was quite shattered by this point.

7.30pm brought us Tyra Harnishfeger with a study on Sarah  :Know who you are.

The technique was lettering but I really couldn't cope with that at this point so I just did a page inspired by her handout.

Genesis 18 : 9-15 & Genesis 21.

Hardly anytime for dinner today so at 9pm we had Tammy Trayer on Rebekah.

No specific crafting on this one so I was again inspired by the handout.

Genesis 24.

10pm we had Lynn Grobler and

Working 9-5:Martha is my girl!

Loved the printable for this one. Luke 10 : 41

10.45pm brought Kelly Gadsden

Learning from Ruth: A woman of the Word. From the book of Ruth.

And finally the 10th session on day 3 at 11.30pm was from Tori Jennings called Reaching Out.

It was about the woman with a blood disorder.

Healing through faith pushing through her fear and anxiety. Mark 5:25-34.

Phew 27 pages in 3 days - my journal will certainly be full by Christmas!

What a super year of Faith Journaling so far.

Bible Journaling Conference 2024 - DAY TWO

Day 2 started at 4.10pm with Jade Sibblies with a session about Jehosheba from 2 Chronicles 22:10-12  & 2 Kings 11:1-9.

We had a printable outline of Jehosheba which we water coloured then made a water colour and mixed media background. Such a vibrant page in my journal.

This was followed by more water colours with Amanda Davis at 5pm. She gave us a devotion on Miriam, Moses' big sister from Numbers 12:1-16.

I've been following Amanda for the past 2 years since I met her at my first conference. Love water colouring in my Bible and all her printables are free too.

At 6pm we had Tammy Jo Becker with the Widow of Zarephath A tale of trust and triumph. 1 Kings 17:9-16

Followed by Lorri Spencer at 6.45pm with Rahab : Faith that can change your life. Joshua 2:1-3.

7.30pm brought us Amanda Stores with Abigail - A balance of beauty and discernment. 1 Samuel 25:14

After "dinner" at 9pm JoDitt Williams gave us creative hacks to hear from God like Huldah. 2 Kings 22 and 2 Chronicles 34.

I hadn't been familiar with Huldah in the Bible before this session.

At 10pm we had Provoking Praise from Vee Castro all about Elizabeth (Mary's cousin and mother of John the Baptist). All about the first time Jesus is professed as Lord even though he was still growing inside Mary. Quite profound. Luke 1: 41-45

11pm brought us Lillian Stevens and the unfeigned faith of Eunice and Lois from 2 Timothy 1:5.

Our 9th and last session for day 2 was on Deborah with Michele Winter. Secret Weapon Judges 4:4-5.

Day 2 over and I was pretty tired at this point - 10 sessions tomorrow!!!

Bible Journaling Conference 2024 - DAY ONE

My 3rd year attending Bible Journaling Ministries online event in American time! Free Passes include all basic downloads and a process/devotional video available from the time it is published for 24 hours.

We started off at 4.30pm with a Faith Inspirations approach from one of the hosts, Tracie Rollins on Esther. I popped the process card behind the main picture.

Esther is a book in the Old Testament showing how the Jewish people were saved from annellation and is the reason Purim was established as a celebration of their deliverance.

Second at 5.30pm was a session on the Woman caught in Adultery by Sara Bryant, from John 8:1-11.

Then the Prophet Anna found in Luke 2:36-38. Anna is one of about a dozen female prophets in the Bible. (I have since updated my page to reflect this fact).

This session was from Kimberly McCann at 6.15pm

At 7pm we had Mary of Bethany, For the Love of HIM. This was by Anne Louise Whitlock-Kriayts. Luke 10:42.

Anne did an "opt-in" window for her Bible with a hole for the verse to show through. but I just did a flat page with the printable, and I added some of my Spikenard oil to the page.

We had a break for lunch (dinner for me) and were back at it at 9pm for Roxanne Kennedy's The Magnificat or Mary's song found in Luke 1:46-55.
.At 10pm Amy Benham brought us Redemption Revealed : Hagar's Journey to Forgiveness with the God who sees, from Genesis 16:13.

We had lots of lovely printable stickers and backing papers. We made a collage from torn pieces of the papers.
10.45pm brought Janet Broussard with Lessons from Eve. Genesis 3. We had a frame to fit a selfie in as Eve is a reflection of me.

the 8th and final session for day 1 was at 11.15pm by Nichole Horant entitled Because the LORD... It was on Leah and showed how the Lord blesses those who praise Him and more insights into life in Biblical times. Genesis 29:16-17.
