WOYWW #616 - Into April 2020 already

So the desk, with my little CD album of flowers.

I added all the photos from last year but only decorated the facing page to last week's so far.

So my Mother's Day flowers from last year...

I finished of last week's two LOs which depicted life BEFORE lockdown....

Then came LOCKDOWN followed by a family walk (only as we'd been prescribed an hour's exercise - we rarely got out all together these days)

Then my hubby and our son going to fetch the rest of his things from his Uni rooms. Certainly an end of an era.

The A4 sheet has extra photos and journaling and will slip in between the LOs in the page protector. The ribbon shows it's there to see.

And into April, the shopping queues and the rainbows. I am so enjoying documenting 2020 in my scrapbooking.

Other things:-

A jigsaw compliments of hubby's work.

Taking rubber stamps off wooden blocks and replacing with cling stuff.

and....

A pond!

Happy WOYWW Everyone

  2. I think 2020 will look VERY different to other years in our albums! Great idea with the pull out page for the journalling. We need a pond here too but we're still deliberating how to achieve it because of all the trees we have that will fill it up with leaves! Sending Spring blessings, Lisa-Jane #7

  3. Morning BJ. My word - have you been busy! Your pages are very poignant this week. Last visit to the uni; all about lockdown; the rainbows... goodness. What a year we have all been through. I'm still trying to see what God is saying in all this!!!
Love the jigsaw - would you like any more to do??? I have an increasing pile sitting on a dining chair awaiting the opening of charity shops...
Oooo... a pond. Enjoy the making and then just being by it.
    Take care. God bless.

  4. Always good to see how people are recording the Covid year/s. It really will be something "special" to look back on. Can't wait to see what you do with your pond.

  6. Your layouts are fabulous and it will certainly be interesting to look back to the lock down pages when this is all over. The pond looks like it's going to be a big project - I shall look forward to seeing it up and running.
    Have a great week,

  7. I do admire those deskers who are journaling/ doing LOs about lockdown, it’ll be interesting to look back on, that’s for sure, though I have no desire to record it myself. Your Mother’s Day flowers are very pretty, just like the stuff that’s growing outside now, Spring is on its way!

  8. Brilliant layouts - I like how you were able to put a positive spin on the lockdown and approach it with the rainbow theme. Also that the first page echo's the government's design with the bright yellow and red! It's certainly been an interesting year. I only have my blog posts to look back on. Have a lovely week! xx zsuzsa #28

  11. You've made a super job of documenting those years and like everyone said 2020 will certainly be one to reflect back on in a different way altogether. I'm intrigued about the pond, sounds exciting.

  12. Unmounting wood block stamps is a major pain of a job, isn't it BJ, but I am very glad I did it. I love your little CD album - such a fabulous idea! Once I'm back in the studio this is definitely something on my "to do" list because I've got far too many redundant CDs and hate the idea of binning them.

I'm sure you will show us progress with the pond when the time comes! I don't think we've seen one of those on WOYWW before.

    Happy WOYWW,

  13. Great visual diary of last years events. I have four ponds, three are the same type of preformed unit. The last one has a liner. We have lots of frogspawn at the moment and a few days ago we saw a newt. I love to listen to the frogs croaking. Have a great week and happy WOYWW Angela #3

  14. I still have my rainbow painted in my front bedroom window...along with loads of dangling Mr Men, teddies, snowmen, a unicorn and snowflakes. I spoes there'll be a time when I have to take it down. Most people have now. yeek, no...taking wooden blocks off of rubber stamps feels to me like skinning a rat! Have a great week. Stay safe, keep crafting! Happy WOYWW?! ((Lyn))#21

  16. You’ve had a busy old week! Love the pages. Despite being locked down for most of the year, there’s a lot to say about 2020 one way and another. My rainbow is now a key ring, the sucker thingy just wouldn’t stay on the window any longer and I didn’t want to get rid of it, the principle behind it is too resonant. Good luck with the opponent, hope you enjoy having it!

  18. Thank you for the visit, just to let you know, a pond in the sun will have more algae growth and the sun can encourage the growth of blanket weed. My newest pond was meant to be a wildlife pond, but my husband insisted on having gold fish. I did make a mistake on some of the plants I bought that went crazy in growth. Have fun with your ponds Angela #3

  19. Thanks for your visit, BJ - it sounds as if you're having a busy time in the garden. My hubby often has to replace fence panels when they get storm damaged - we've got to keep up the defences in the garden to make sure the kitties can't get out. I hope you managed to install your splendid pond liner OK, and I hope that you will show us some photos eventually. We had a lovely pond in our old garden, and in this one we've got 2 water features which are lovely. There's nothing like a bit of water in the garden.

As for kitty bums - "whatever next" is about right!! You never know what you are going to encounter on WOYWW.
