Amazing how NO major heavy machinery building rumblings on a Saturday as well as a Sunday can really ease some of the anxiety. Storm Boelo probably had a lot to do with them not coming this weekend.
However, the roofers next door worked all weekend but fortunately for us, the sound of the wind and rain drowned them out!I've been busy with Devotion in Action's post conference 10-day watercolour challenge. Always love these. Already on day 7! I've included the pumpkin page too from their last series as I forgot that one previously.I also got around to finally sewing my only Zen piece into my denim book. I added some slow stitching to the negative space mirroring the colours form the main piece.Did my October piece for the JOTW Mixed Media Monthly Challenge too. Stuck with an ATC size and used some previously embossed card for the base and various pre-painted images too.My other desk is mainly like this...as I use my Cuttlebug to flatten my Bible pages just before they are completely dry and thereafter...
Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Some lovely makes, I really like the sewn pieces and the apple, you’re very talented!

Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteAiming for visits on the day for a change :D How funny the noise of the storm drowned out the builders! Still all noise to me, but I guess nature noise is better than builder noise :) Love the progress in the denim book and what a fun use for your cuttlebug. Great idea.

Great makes BJ! Glad the storms dulled the noise, hope the rain didn't caused further problems... happy woyww Helen #2

I know this can be a problem when the noises go on all the time and you're at home all day. We had it at the back of us a couple of years ago but it's all done now and quiet again so it's just something we had to put up with but fear not in time it will end. Lovely art work which must at least be a good distraction. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x10x
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see you've got lots of crafting done this week and what a lovely lot you did too.

Great use of yhe cuttlebug! A machine of many talents! Lots of lovely things to see today! The watercolours are very nice, you are getting so good at them! The ATC is lovely with the apple, and I love the stitxhing in your fabric book! Glad you got a bit of peace and quiet for awhile... Have a great week, Lindart #15ππ⬛π»
ReplyDeleteHello BJ, The colour of your Cuttlebug is very pretty. Mine is teal blue - nice enough but not as pretty as that green. I'm so sorry you get such a bad bag traveling in the car. It must put you off the idea of going any further. We won't be going by car. We plan to take the train to Aberdeen and then the ferry from their to Lerwick where we will be staying. That ferry travels overnight, takes 12-15 hours so we will be booking a cabin for that part of the journey. Once we are there I'm assured there's a very good bus service to take us to wherever we want to go round the island. I'm really looking forward to it all. It's good to see your desk again and your beautiful bible illustrations. Happy WOYWW and have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #13
