About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #876 - Up & Down

Glad the sun has come out for a bit as that really helps the mood.

Continuing with my daily scripture writing. Attempting to get the whole month on the 2 page spread for March.

All the ladies 18yrs+  got the little canvas bag from church for Mother's Day. Defo a craft supplies bag for me - lol.

The stems read - Unique, Special, Lovely, Precious, Strong, Chosen and Forgiven.

Did get some Bloom and Wild flowers from my son but there was NO card so it was a little curious?

I did manage to message him in Japan on the Monday and he said he's asked for a card so I have been chasing them.....

I've gone to the end of the one side of my concertina journal.

Added lots of my other watercolour images. Not sure when it will be actually finished as I keep adding stuff on previous parts bringing it all together of sorts...Need to sort the other BB Bash side out as I really don't like it much!

Been back to the scrapping and part way through September 2025 now..

Here's lots of memories including finding wide fitting shoes and boots. Been wearing the latter a lot this Winter, so comfy.

I journaled each picture on the tag behind the top photo.

I used my birthday papers/card.

Liked the patterned paper so much that I used up the left over piece to make some cards "AT LAST". Great that it was double sided too. I made 5 cards.

I used my watercolour blob flowers and pussy willow sprigs plus some acrylic flowers.

I did some more scrapping of September

RHS Wisley Flower Show. There's the parrot fountain which we saw frozen solid in January!

Used more of my blob flowers and sprigs etc.

My latest pages are of my son's 1st September visit and his new flat viewing.

We even managed to play a little cribbage, as I recall we were up really late trying not to make a noise as his Dad had gone to bed!

Thought I best make some more blob flowers as I'd used up most of the others, so here they are ready for the fussy cutting.

Went with red and dark yellow/orange this time. Defo have a poppy feel. I'll do sprigs on the left over paper after cutting out.

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

A fabulous array of art work as usual this week BJ. The bag is definitely lovely. The martini glass has a tiny person inside it. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah.

The journal is fabulous and lv the cards. Funny, but in my recent sorting I found a partial sheet with the last printable set of flowers - I had used all the not-red roned ones already and the ones I do have look a lot like those in your journal. I LOVE the blob flowers too, so so pretty. Lovely flowers from your son - I got to have lunch with mine and his pretty girl so that made for a very nice day! Happy WOYWW, in a pre-kniting day dash!

Lots of fab stuff on your blog today, love the blobby flowers and I like the fact you included your shoes in the LO, why shouldn’t you commemorate some everyday stuff like that?! My son and I are demon cribbage players too, its a great game!

Your concertina journal is stunning, BJ, such lovely details.
I like your bag, though I’m not one for evangelism. It reminds me of a meme of a sweatshirt that says ‘You are enough,’ that’s linked to many healing stories.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Happy WOYWW. You are so creative and so many different projects. I did keep some of my scrapbooking supplies, and one day I will sit down and get a few pages made - but don't hold your breath! Ali x #11
