About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog.I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary, plus any cards as required. As my Carpal Tunnel allows I am getting into yarn/fabric crafts with slow stitching and needle felting added to my list. I continue with my love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus Faith/Art Journaling with acrylics and inks. I completed my challenge to make an art journal page a day for my 60th year in 2024. My list of crafty exploits includes ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like Walking/Geocaching. I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Evangelical Church.

WOYWW #875 - Struggling

Finding it hard to type between the tears.

Having one of those days Tuesday. The straw which broke the camel's back was the electric bike on a public footpath I was walking on. Guy was pretty horrid when I said he shouldn't be riding on there as there is even a sign. He didn't seem to care that he had a child on the back - got photos, not fun at all.

Got back from walk and at desk playing "Don't Fall Asleep" by Jacob Alon on repeat - loudish!

Back to my scripture writing, not finding my faith is helping much at the moment either, I just want to run away and hide from it all.

I managed a scrap page this week but not greatly inspiring I'm afraid.

I did the JOTW March challenge and used up the purple (mauve) circles I'd made a while back.

Had another play in my concertina journal, inspired by the tinsel on my friend's baby's foot.

I made flowers with the left over paint. Nice to be able to fussy cut with out any numbness.

I received my birthday card from our Cindy at last. As it is Japanese themed I will be keeping it up till my son returns from his Japan adventure at the end of the month.

He has already got us a geocache on Okinawa. Didn't realise there were so many islands south of the main part of Japan nearly reaching Taiwan!

Happy WOYWW Everyone.

Happy WOYWW. Sorry to hear that you were upset by the e-bike rider. I am constantly amazed by the lack of manners and respect from many people nowadays. Lots of wonderful creations on your workdesk. Ali x #8

I absolutely understand how you feel about the bike. There are loads of people come through our park which they are not suposed to which wouldn't be so bad if they would slow down when they approach people walking especially when it's people with children and dogs as often they are behind you and all bikes are so quiet now that you don't hear them coming. Anyway you take care and craft on. Sending gentle hugs, Angela x9x

So sorry to hear you’re struggling. Nasty encounters like that can be really upsetting.
I’ve not had Bell’s palsy before and I’m really struggling with taping my eye shut due to skin allergies to plasters.
Your journal pages are beautiful, and I’m quite envious of your son. I loved Japan and would go back in a flash.
Happy WOYWW

You are not the only one who has some kind of confrontation that stays in you mins for ages. “ People “ say pray and I adrenaline, but I also know that sometimes things affect you so much that praying goes out of your head. Love your accordion journal and those circle flowers. Big hugs from me. Angela #10

I'm sorry about the e-bike confrontation. It seems people just don't think these days. Also when someone is "caught out" it is embarassing for them, and they lash out rather than taking responsibility. Please don't take anything he said to you personally! Love all your art work, and taking inspiration from your friend's baby's foot! Happy Belated Birthday, the Japanese themed card is precious! Thank you for your comment on mine, you made me feel so good! Even in your own sadness you can still make others happy. I hope you feel better soon, prayer always helps, and you can get inspiration for whatever comes next❤️❤️Lindart #13

People seem to have lost the knack of good manners, cyclists seem to think they own the paths/roads whatever, it’s the same on our coastal path. Love the card from Cindy, great that your son is enjoying Japan so much!
Hugs LLJ 2 xx

I love the little Japanese themed card I bet that cheered you up a bit. There are so many inconsiderate folk out there. You were brave to say something to him. We get folks on motorized scooters riding illegally here and yes, even letting their kids ride with them! Madness. I hope you are feeling a bit better.x x Jo 🌈

Hope you are feeling better now. It's horrible when something like that happens and makes you off kilter for the rest of the day. Lots of great projects on your desk though. So pleased your card arrived at last - I have to say all of them I posted have taken their sweet time. I would love to go to Japan but not sure if we'll get round to it. I'm geting to Portmerion this year I hope, and trying for Orient Express next year - I am 70 in Dec and my friend will be 80 in April next year - thinking it might be our little adventure even if it's only a day trip. Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx

Hi BJ! It' can be difficult these days with all that's going on in the world, so you just need to let your light shine and know the Lord is with you at all times. I love all your artwork!
